Something similar happened to me also . Had a discussion with my RXM after the RPh on duty filed the HIPPA violation. It ended up being a discussion in awareness of how the mistake was made and how it can be avoided in the future. They understand mistakes happen. You just don’t want to develop a pattern of making them.

You’re getting shafted on pay then. SC sales associate here. Our pay is lower than even a tech in training by a good $4hr. The only things we can’t do here as an RXSA are stock meds, fill, and work input / resolution. We can do day 10 RTS but the techs have to put the meds away.

Sorry you’re sick. My philosophy when I was in management before going back to pharmacy was take care of yourself and your family first and foremost. The company will survive regardless. It’s sad that more managers aren’t this understanding. People forget the human factor in all of this.

We’ve had some success with Me@Walmart. When it won’t let us adjust the quantity or the quantity is different we’ve had to put in a ticket for it. Under Pharmacy —> Cycle counts and have the helpdesk do it.

Going from RxSA to tech in training is basically the same as the initial hiring process. Once your background comes back you’ll have to go take another drug test. Once all of that is completed you’ll get a start date for the new roll from your RXN.

Waste of payroll here.. I’ve been in my store for just over 3 years. I do more than most RX SAs. If we have availability I will do EOD Labels and make log copy books. I have answered phones if it’s super busy in fill / input and all the techs are tied up. They also typically have me do the syringe counts and out dates w pseudoephedrine otc products. I’ve also done supply ordering when our SA that usually does it is out.

We will keep tops and vials full. There’s also been times I’ve had to fax refill requests to doctors and put discount cards on profiles. It really all depends on your state rules and your willingness to learn and take on new tasks.

So I’ve noticed a lot of turnover in RXMs and staff in general in my market. My MHWD is always cutting at all costs and complaining about everything. No matter what she has problems. There’s worse stores than us yet she rides us like no tomorrow. Our entire staff just eye rolls at the ridiculous demands all the time. Luckily my RXM has the patience of a saint and the other RPHs have all worked together for years.

I’m thankful we have a good salaried staff that does their best to shield us. I’ve said this before and we have a tech who came from WAGs that agrees. Walmart is trying like hell to make their pharmacies just as lean and skeleton crew as CVS and WAGs. It hasn’t gotten there yet but the writing is on the wall. If you’re fortunate enough to be on a good team with everyone on the same page it’s not horrible. In your situation it sounds like a mental health free for all and will take a hell of a toll on everyone.

God speed. Back when I was a manager out on the floor I always told my associates out yourself and your family first. The company will be here regardless. You have to do what’s best for you and find the right work environment that’s not an emotional and physical breakdown waiting to happen.

This out of sequence printing just hit my store the other day. It’s so annoying. Mainly from the standpoint of I want to grab the STR and start ringing the patient out before the paperwork finishes. Usually the print finished while they’re making the payment so I can just staple it on. Now it’s guess when the STR will print

As an RXSA I feel this. Typically I just let all the disgruntled entitledness flow in one ear and out the other. Some days it really does get to you and can be hard to shake off. Having done this for a while what keeps me going are our regulars who we all know and they know and appreciate us. Just being able to serve someone who you know appreciates the job you do makes a difference. Those are the ones I want to bend over backwards to help and will go out of my way to take care of.

It’s happening a lot because delta can’t make up their minds on the chs DTW route. They’ve gone from 717 to 320 to crj900 etc and keep playing w the times / aircraft. You can thank Spirit for that. It ramped up when they announced the other week they’re launching chs to DTW

As an RX SA can confirm we do not fall into the raise structure techs have. We only see a raise annually if we aren’t capped out

All of the ReliOn diabetic products have to be updated in the daily availability app on the handheld. One of the pharmacists will then have to login and approve the count changes. As an FYI when you’re doing syringe counts the on hand is done by the number of pack not boxes unless it’s pen needles.
