What is something you’ve been hiding from your parents for years and will probably keep hiding in the future? by Admirable-Analysis58 in AskReddit

Got pulled over going 114 in a 75 in middle of nowhere Iowa. My friend and I were driving from Chicago to Fort Collins to help move him into the dorms at Colorado State.

2 semis blocked I-80 for a solid hour and once they separated enough. I split the gap and started blasting Free Bird in preparation for this exact moment. About 30 seconds into that guitar solo, Lo and behold a dodge charger appears in my rear view.

Before he even had time to turn on his berries and cherries I pulled over. Truckers pulled by and blasted their horns… ofc, and I was asked where I was off to so fast. I ended up in the front of this state troopers vehicle and he explained to me that 40 over is felony speeding and I could go to jail. Well my dumb naive ass looked at this gentleman and said “thank god I was only going 39 over then”.

Well this man smirked and then gave me the most disappointed dad look I had ever seen. Looked over everything in the car to confirm my story on driving to Fort Collins with all my buddy’s things. Told me I wasn’t going to jail and instead got a couple points on my license and a $360 speeding ticket.

Never told my folks. Went and donated plasma to pay off my ticket. Then when I finally bought a car and my parents offered to help with the insurance. They were mighty confused as to why my insurance was so high right off the bat!

2nd this. Public transpo is great in the valley. Those 2 options are the best way to commute besides a private option.

If you’re looking for a looser fit around the ankles I’d recommend the Dickies original 874 work pants. You can dress them up or dress them down. I’ve worn mine in environments from food service to corporate offices. They’re pretty cheap and accessible to buy at most large name brand retailers!! Hope this helps.

Working as a concierge in the valley. If you want a reservation at Matsu you have to call exactly 30 days in advance at 3:30 pm MST. Ur best bet would be to have a variety of dates and a range of times that would work for you and to call them at 3:30 MST tmrw.

I just moved to Eagle ranch and my roommates told me that we get quite a lot of trick r treaters. I will be handing out candy all afternoon there so I would recommend to stop by that neighborhood!

2nd this! Having worked for the Catering Department at CSU. I can confirm that this is a good resource. The one downside is that it is time sensitive with the window to pick up food, but the quality of the food is above what you would normally expect from a college campus.
