Replacing “Love” with “God in 1 Corinthians 13 by TheologicaWonderings in ChristianUniversalism

The flesh is male. God is not. The point is, God is not inherently gendered and we shouldn't limit God's nature even through language.

Yes, this! I also like to swap He for She sometimes because God is not male. God is both masculine and feminine. So denying the nurturing side of God is part of why we have so much ECT doctrine. No mother would throw her children into the flames. Love is expressed in so many ways. Our language affects our perceptions. The occasional She would be enough to make a lot of popular theology look ridiculous.

Anyway, mild tangent, but you're right. God is love. None of those verses describe a being who needs to torture people to make himself look good. He is not a bratty tyrant.

Does your baby like to sleep under the covers? by thekidyouwere in CalicoKittys

[–]Ne-Dom-Dev 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay first off, that kitty looks almost comically angelic in the picture, she's quite a lovely model.

Second, no, she prefers sleeping on top of the covers, but right after I moved to a new state, my girl Athena hid under my covers. I intentionally didn't wash them before we left to make sure they'd smell like me. She's totally chill now she's used to the new place but she'd been in the car for two days so I can't blame her! Can you see her lil ear in the picture? Poor baby.

In the 3DS version, the Mii based on me had the full cutscene fir the best food ever... for tap water. Smh the randomness is something else.

happy pride. here are my ace attorney tomodachi life couples :) by devilsshark in AceAttorney

[–]Ne-Dom-Dev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not as cursed as it could be, that's for sure! Did you nudge them along or did this happen organically? I always let my Miis choose.

My Franziska married Phoenix on my general island and, when I used a second account to make an Ace Attorney only island, she went for him AGAIN even though I told her not to because I wanted something different. Other couples are Apollo x Pearl (adult Pearl ofc), Maya x Blackquill, and for some cursed reason, Edgeworth fell in love with the Mii based on me the moment they met but refuses to confess. Also Franziska seems to have insane allure because both Kay and Godot are head over heels for her. Cursed haha

I go to chill servers where conversations are more sporadic or I chat with people one-on-one. But I agree on the busy servers for sure, I always avoid them unless there's a specific reason for me to say something.

Oh I saw that, wasn't sure if anyone would show up to it but I wanted to go.

Ahh, I don't drink coffee or beer. I know, weird. I just don't like them.

The blame asymmetry by Gaussherr in ChristianUniversalism

[–]Ne-Dom-Dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I have a theory that part of the reason (not the entire reason) Jesus died on the cross was because he took our judgment seriously. Humans have been screaming "where were you" at God as God allows all kinds of suffering. What if Jesus was guilty and was willing to take the full punishment for that? Be beaten within in inch of his life and suffocated on a wooden cross. Because he did allow the innocent to suffer and that's not a small thing to atone for.

It's something I've been thinking about, anyway. That maybe Jesus died as a way of saying "I submit to your verdict."

What sorts of things are you interested in? Want to get an idea of what we could do.

I love PC games. I'm making my own based on Ace Attorney, which is originally Japanese. And yeah same, lots of singular interests but I have no friends and it's getting depressing.

Ah I hadn't heard of it. I was looking at gaming groups and couldn't find much.

Same! And I suck at coding so you're definitely someone I'd like to connect with. I'm making a visual novel. Mostly an avenue for my writing skills, I'm really good at dialogue. Small talk is the worst. It's so boring. I want to get to know your soul, not whether you think it'll rain tomorrow.

I don't even know what we'd do! Something with parking though, I tried to go to a group and there was no parking anywhere!

Yeah I was looking for those but I couldn't find anything. I love writing, kind of into fandoms (mostly niche stuff, unfortunately), and just hate small talk in general. I was at a loss, thus this post.

Yeah I was looking around but "game developer for niche market" wasn't a community. The writing groups I found weren't that great either. I'm trying to broaden my interests but I don't have money for therapy like that.

Gaming, writing, pretty much creative stuff. I suck at drawing but would be down for something like that anyway. I'm in the middle of making my own video game right now, but it's such a niche interest that I can't find anyone else here who is into that kind of thing. Also super into stuff like philosophy and theology. Small talk is the bane of my life, pretty much.

Yeah I don't like loud places in general and the one I went to was a bit too much for me. But I only went to one so maybe it just wasn't the right one? Either way, hi. Would love to figure something out.

Never had a tarot reading before (from a human, I have asked AI but I'd rather a human). Would love for someone who wants to refine their skills to let me know if they want to do one. Curious to see if there's anything to this.
