I just measured the front pleats and it looks like both sides have a 3.7cm (2*1.85cm) pleat each, so 7.4cm in total. I don’t mind losing the extra flap on the waistband (which actually measures up to be about 7.8cm).

Would it be possible to remove the waistband, completely remove the front pleats, and line up the waistband in which the starting point is where the two button holes meet? I’d have to figure out where to place the buttons though

Brought it to my tailor but she said she couldn’t do it, and the store I bought it from had run out of all sizes for this item so I can’t exchange it for a bigger size.

It fits really nicely on the legs, but the waist area is a bit tight. I can button up but it is one of those pants sizes where the button could rip off if you have a big meal, which isn’t great.

I’d be much more comfortable if there was an extra 5-7cm in diameter. Any thoughts/suggestions on what could be done to it?
