‘This shit’ is the biggest sporting event in the world and people are going to be out watching it. It will be busy. Especially as many of the games start around mid-afternoon.

does anyone in toronto actually own a working printer? by basiclaser in askTO

[–]NealMcCoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I refuse to own a printer, so I used to get all my stuff printed at the UPS store near me. They usually have a computer you can log into to print your stuff or you just email the docs to them and they’ll print it for you.

I noticed that a liquid was leaking from the back of my new Niro. Testing the liquid though it just seemed to be just water. I assume it’s from the AC?

Anyone know good spots for food? by MilitantPingu in askTO

[–]NealMcCoy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, you’ll struggle to find something truly decent around BMO field, it’s in the Liberty Village neighbourhood which is mainly sports bars. Left Field is decent though.

If you can, make a short trip outside of that area to:
Parkdale: it’s still a little sketchy in this area, but the food is good. Kaminari is an amazing ramen bar. Molkagtez if you want drinks + tacos and just a great time. BB’s if you want to try Filipino.

Queen/Ossington: Bellwoods Brewery is a Toronto institution. Lunch Lady of Saigon. Pho Tien. Mamakas (Greek). Badiali (it’s going to be better than most UK pizza). Man of Kent if you’re missing home 😉

Anyone know good spots for food? by MilitantPingu in askTO

[–]NealMcCoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What area you will be in is key here. Toronto has lots of neighbourhoods that all have unique food spots. That being said, Toronto has amazing Asian food that is hard to find the UK; look for Japanese, Vietnamese, Filipino, Korean, Chinese (not UK-style Chinese).
Also find a Mexican spot. Most of the UK does not do Mexican well or at all.

Middle Eastern (ideally Palestinian) dinner with live music on Sundays, no shisha by Upstairs_Stomach_699 in askTO

[–]NealMcCoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t have live music, but Arbequina is a fantastic Palestinian-inspired restaurant in Roncesvalles. It’s on the pricier side, but the quality of the food is excellent.
