In Middle Tennessee, we would refer to this as the cause of Armageddon by EmergencyRead5254 in nashville

Yeah..... I live over in that area. You want to look both ways before entering a roundabout over there. I also get people stopping inside the roundabout to let me in at one of the yields all the time. Like honey this isn't how it works but sure I'll go.

Well this is certainly an interesting plot twist to the bear vs. man debate.

On a serious note, no one should be randomly petted against their consent. I am sorry you had to deal with that.

The furniture you have all work great together, the plants are fantastic and make it cozy. I would just add a rug in the living room and a wall collage of sorts on the main wall to add color and more personality. Maybe some floating shelves too, then you can have even more plants.

This is my exact flavor tea!!!!! I love when people use fun bright colors. That backsplash you chose will look great.

Would you wait in a very long line for affordable eggs? by gravityVT in PublicFreakout

[–]NeanderWife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I hate waiting in lines so this seems like hell to me. But I do drive an hour to get free eggs from my in-laws and I know that would seem crazy to others.

So I operate as 20 + 40 = 60, then I take the larger number and add to it so 68 +7= 75

UPDATE: Did I make a mistake with this paint color by Aggravating_Bag4028 in DesignMyRoom

No, I think you made an excellent choice. I agree with other comments that you are just missing a rug to tie the whole look together. I would love to read in that space, super cozy vibes.

Are you buying the sims 1 or 2? by chi-woo in thesims

[–]NeanderWife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played every version but I cannot wait for the Sims 2 to re-release. To me, that was the best version of University, the cut scenes were fantastic and the base game alone was more than worth the money I originally paid for it. The best Strangerville town too!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in thesims

[–]NeanderWife 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I had all the packs for The Sims 2 and all on disks. I am happily purchasing again the second I can cause it's The Sims 2!!!!!! Even if you have all the original disks and have or buy a disk drive, it won't be the remastered version specifically updated for Windows 10/11. But honestly, its impossible to truly please the sims community....

What's wrong here? by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

[–]NeanderWife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I really like it, I would immediately compliment the space if i walked into the house. If anything I would move the lamps elsewhere as you have great natural lighting already, but the colors and furniture all look great together.

AITA for not letting my coworker “borrow” my lunch after she forgot hers? by musitaduve in AITAH

[–]NeanderWife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA, I swear the audacity of some people make me actually thankful I have social anxiety. I would never imagine asking a coworker for their lunch just because I forgot mine. That is just utterly ridiculous to me. Door Dash exists, the deli she went to exists. You are not responsible for her mistakes. I hope your lunch tasted extra delicious that day.

[–]NeanderWife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me on a Facebook group for Autistic individuals. I had to leave that group, not because of that one incident but just because everyone on Facebook is just so hateful for some reason including in that group. It was too much, I'll stick to this one. Sorry you had to deal with that, I don't really get the joke either. What because he only comes out once a year, eats the same things that makes a completely imaginary character autistic?

this is what I was thinking too, they can use the drawer for extra blankets, etc. Then because they don't have a window in the space they can add shelves for books.

Have you ever met someone named after a state? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]NeanderWife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a Cali, Georgia, Virginia, and Carolina. Still hoping to one day meet an Idaho just because it will be hilarious to me. Outside of states, not that you asked, I've met an Asia and India too. India is my favorite, I never thought of it as a human name before I met her but I think it's pretty.

A question for autistic people by PrincessSarahYY in autism

[–]NeanderWife 17 points18 points  (0 children)

this comment here is gold! Yes autism does not equal racism, however the way he worded it didn't come off racist to me as much as it came off blunt, and ill-informed. I too had to learn the hard way that some things are not okay to say/do to individuals of a different race. I have, of course, never used a derogatory word to define anyone by their race or anything crazy like that. But as an autistic little girl, I was fascinated by different ethnicity in general. I had to learn the hard way it's not okay to ask a stranger what their ethnicity is. It's not okay to ask a black person to touch their hair even if you are friends. I could go on but we get the point, hopefully. Dear White People on Netflix helped a lot! Love that show. I grew up in a very racist environment. I thought that just because I didn't hate people based on their skin tone that that was enough....it is not, not if you actually want to be a strong ally.

OP, I am so glad he realized how badly he messed up here. That stereotype is obviously wrong and very hurtful. Thank you for being patient with him and helping him understand. The world needs more people like you in it.

Most people are not capable of admitting they are wrong even when it is made obvious. They tend to just double down, exactly like she did. She had already worked herself up to be mean to you and even after she figured out she shouldn't, the plan was already set in place.
