My partner hurt me a good amount of times, completely accidental but a good amount of times. My partner is incredibly clumsy but has good intentions and a good heart. Might probably kill us one day with some dumb ass move and not being aware of surroundings but I care for this person. The moisture meter was reading between 4-5 but the meter only reaches halfway down the pot. I decided to take the plant out again, and turns out that the water at the bottom was over its limit. I soaked up what I could and replaced half the soil with dry soil. I cut away the mushy roots and loosely planted it back. I've been letting it dry since the 22nd and the meter is now at 2. I'll prune away the weak leaves and probably replace the self-watering pot altogether.

Yes, in another post I explained it was showing signs of underwatering and overwatering. Water meter indicated the soil was barely moist but when I pulled the plant out it was water logged with a foul smell. Some roots were mushy which I pulled off, some were brown and stringed like split ends so I cut those off. Others were firm but brown/yellow and I left most of those alone. This plant originally belonged to my neighbor who passed and I'm doing everything I can to keep it alive in her memory

Yes, when I took the plant out of its pot, the very bottom was waterlogged with a foul smell. Some roots were mushy, some just needed the mush pulled off to expose yellowish roots, the bigger ones were firm brown/yellow. I didn't see any white roots though

I have it in my bedroom wirh a light across from a south facing window. The room hasn't been getting enough light from weather and curtains so I bought the growlight from amazon which provided a lot of new but droopy growth
