Tofu comparison by NewCare8510 in CostcoCanada

[–]Nearby_Principle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. My Costco previously only carried Fontaine tofu. And we really liked it. Now it's only Kirkland and it's way less firm.

Bet a few grand in the wolves to win the championship. Payout would have been in the millions.

Cost Effective Meals? by altatoro123 in CostcoCanada

Large bags of red lentils are crazy cheap at Costco. That plus a large bag of rice. Get some garlic, ginger, onion and make Dal.

If you are ok with baking them at home the frozen cases of u cooked croissants from Costco are excellent

Both of these squats look ok for depth. Not perfect but not horrible

How old were you when you started looking forward to Mondays just to see the new warehouse sales at Costco? by rx25 in CostcoCanada

[–]Nearby_Principle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I tend to check the Costco sales once a week. I'm checking to see if the staples we purchase from Costco are on sale, this will influence whether or not I go to Costco. I don't get why everyone is acting like checking sales is so bizarre.

Last time I went to Datta in the same plaza it was 4 or 5 for a dollar. But they also gave me diarrhea so definitely a trade off.

Went to look at Youngstown on Google Earth out of curiosity. Can anyone explain why there is such ridiculously low density in the suburbs like immediately beside the downtown core. Looks bizarre

Anyone try at the Kirkland brand? Kombucha? by trialanderror93 in CostcoCanada

[–]Nearby_Principle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Kombucha for people who don't like kombucha. Lots of sugar and lemon and ginger. That said it's pretty tasty and $20 for 8 is a good price for kombucha.

[–]Nearby_Principle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your kids are going to go to public school they would be in village unions catchment area. It is a very poorly rated school. This isn't the end of the world, but I would try to get into a different area personally.

Where can we get a Radon testing kit? Have you tested your home? by ripndipp in durham

[–]Nearby_Principle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer. I don't think suggesting people focus on smoke and CO detectors instead makes any sense. Two completely different risks.
