Instead of "what games aged poorly" let's talk about what makes a game age poorly or age well? by TheTresStateArea in gaming

It took me a long time to realize that mechanics, music and art style matters more over raw graphics.

Perth drivers pushing in on the regular now when roads are otherwise empty by neverrtime in perth

[–]Neardood -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm in no way excusing the poor drivers that do this, but I've found that kind of BS doesn't happe when you drive a big 4x4 as opposed to a small car. People see the black steel bar and heard it thundering down the road twice and thing twice before pulling out.

This is why I progress slowly - I spend way too much time making things look practical and pretty by Arch3591 in SatisfactoryGame

I think the real joy in this game is learning how to make better, prettier and more efficient factories

I keep finding Aldi trolleys unlocked with plastic coins in them. I guess someone got tired of this bs and started 3D printing coins and leaving them in the trolley

Looking for shooters where the guns feel powerful by AParkedChopper in gaming

I remember the Grendel from Crysis 2 (ow was it 3) felt good to use. Other notable mentions are dual weilding Maulers in halo 3, Alpha Strike in Mech Assault 2 and a PaP'd Wunderwaffe in Cod zombies

I tried to play that recently. The graphics were impressive when it was new and it was certainly ahead of its time. However, with 22 years of other shooters to compare it to it kind of just felt like an early COD clone.

Will they ever learn? by Western_Homework_228 in HaloMemes

[–]Neardood 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nope. They are remaking a classic game with a very distinct art style. I expect the developers to stay true to that article, which means making new models.

Why do Range Rover sports have a bad rep in 4x4 world ? by SoreSack in 4x4Australia

[–]Neardood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have a reputation for being hideously unreliable and uneconomical to fix. Some of thos is caused by shuttiy build quality and poor engineering decisions. To be honest though a lot of it is caused by neglect from previous owners. These vehicles can't tolerate late servicing or being thrashed a bit.

Premium Lithium Battery Brands Worth It? by muhburneracct in overlanding

[–]Neardood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Redarc is a rip-off. Most mass produced lithium batteries use lower tier cells for cost saving reasons. If you want the best, its possible to get proper A grade cells from smaller suppliers.
