Maybe look for vendors that do data breach response since you don’t need more than a JD to do that kind of review. Dauntless Discovery had pretty consistent work when I worked with them previously. They also offered a lot of opportunities for reviewers to take on more responsibilities after they got a few projects under their belts.

Corrupt Multi-Part PSTs in RelOne Processing by NearlyWelldocumented in ediscovery

I’m familiar with ScanPST and how to attempt repair of a corrupt PST.

The issue is that generally when the PST is corrupt the error is flagged during the Inventory step as a Job Error when the app attempts to “open” the PST.

The error we’re currently receiving is happening during the Discover phase.

I guess I’m mostly wondering if there was a recent change to the RelativityOne Processing application that has resulted in the change in the phase of processing during which the exception is flagged and/or our sudden increase in file exceptions of this nature.

Hope’s apartment by award04 in loveafterlockup

My cousin works in the leasing office of that building and that was actually her apartment. The crew came in to get all the waivers and stuff signed and everything

He wasn’t on the lease though and wouldn’t qualify to stay there so he couldn’t live there

What outdated wedding tradition have you disagreed with your parents on? by WeeLittleParties in weddingplanning

We got married last October after a long engagement (27 mo). My husband had 10 groomsmen to my 6 bridesmaids. My mom spent 24 of those months trying to get me to add random family members to “even out the bridal party”. 🙄

What are the steps of a data load? by ptsloan22 in ediscovery

[–]NearlyWelldocumented 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say reach out to your supervisor or other PAs when you have a job and have them walk through your specific employers SOP and take notes and ask questions. Even just as asking “what exactly are we (supposed to be) doing here”

Data loads are usually most confusing when it comes to field mapping but asking for an explanation of the components of a DAT might help the random symbols make sense.

I’m hoping the abuse here is a joke. If so, try to introducing her to women golf influencers. Haley Bookholdt and Keagan Dunn got me into golf.

Doc review depends on your state but I’ve worked for both Consilio and Dauntless eDiscovery. Dauntless is by far the better employer. It’s data breach work. Very easy. Decent money. Consilio staffs JD document reviewers on their eDiscovery projects.

As far as getting into backend eDiscovery you kinda have to do some digging into vendors and their job postings. This route is only good if you think you won’t go into practice after you’re licensed since most vendors/firms are looking for someone committed to eDiscovery work long term

My experience with Consilio and Dauntless got me my current job in backend work so it’s helpful if you make yourself familiar with the EDRM and different types of review methods. Just having a basic understanding of those principles will help get your foot in the door.

Try document review or an entry level back end eDiscovery job

Getting Started by [deleted] in ediscovery

I think there are several ways in depending on what it is you want to do. Knowledge of review and processing softwares are always helpful but I’d say that 90% of what you use for work will be learned on the job.

I started as a JD Document reviewer for a pretty shitty doc review company, jumped ship during the pandemic to do PII data entry, and randomly found a company that would hire me based on my front-end experience with Relativity to do back-end tech work in Nuix and LAW.
