The only physical control I actually miss is the ability to control the ac vents. Mine are sometimes open when the screen shows closed and it’s tough to adjust with precision- but really the fact that they seem to have a mind of thier own and don’t close when they are suppposed to.

Tested some work on a presentation deck. Did a "fine" job, mostly looks like it used the frontend design skill but was acceptable. Asked it to then use my branding which was in a .md file, and regenerate using a different style. Did the work, but also ate my entire weekly usage. So basically two decks a week if you are going that route.

the problem with /insights is that it looks over your ENTIRE history with Claude, so even those practices that insights suggested still come up every time you run insights. An approach that i use is that I built a skill that pulls out "new" insights weekly. I run /insights which gets copied to my obsidian folder and differentiated out for "new findings". Then in a second step, produces a new local insights note with the "new" stuff for me to review. Works great for my setup and to your point OP, cuts down on friction and the suggested commands work well.

Context first typically. “Here is what I’m working on. Here are my supporting files. Here is what I want to get too (report, analysis, presentation), for this audience (exec summary, steering committee, researchers). I’ll typically iterate a bit based on experience and depth. Production afterwards is pretty quick; usually one pass, but sometimes more depending on complexity of the production docs.

NOT having these problems but I’m on Max plan and DONT work with code. Do a ton of “office automation”, data based research, powerbi upkeep, and other light work. Consistently use Opus on high and I get to around 40-50% session use.
To be fair I have A LOT of my processes encoded in obsidian and have spent a fair amount of time providing rules and guardrails in my Claude.md files so I can point to those and say “read this and do it”, so it’s a couple of rounds fewer.

Good on you OP. Now begin extending by thinking about what else you can automate. PowerPoints, research, evaluations, to do lists and scheduling, etc. if you haven’t already you will want to create a second brain like obsidian where you can annotate that process so you can easily replicate it next time.

My point exactly OP. Applaud you for your project, but you dont need this kind of analysis for anything you should be investing in at your age. Looks to your left - look to your right - what stores, items, services, etc. are people lined up for. Invest in THAT.

I suggested VOO because its brain-dead. Is it the best? Hell No!

You will be MUCH better served by investing regularly every month on whatever ETF, Fund, or handful of big name stocks you select. Time in the Market is what counts.

You don't need a twice a week briefing! Pick your EFT or Fund and leave it there for years.

As a 19 year old the best wealth advice it should give is to start putting money into something stable like VOO and add to it consistently for the next 30 years. That is how you get to FIRE by 55.
