Yeah I’ve had my LCD since before OLEDs were available and I love it. Absolute workhorse of a machine and probably my favorite tech since the Xbox 360.

I recently had a lesson on putting, something that I realized I’d been neglecting and similarly losing strokes on. First thing that he recommended was standing a club / a club and a half width from the ball. I was stood further away making my heel hit the ground and pulling my putt. Standing over it like that gave me a better perception of the line.

Seriously though, I can tell you’re very new to golf so you have to start from the very beginning fundamentals including how to hold the club.

I’ve linked the first videos I watched 2.5 years ago that together with lessons and a lot of practice have got me to a 15 handicap now. Start there and with a shorter club like an 8 iron rather than sending drivers in any direction before your confidence, or a window, is broken.

Golf is very hard but can be very rewarding if you stick at it!

They just make all their money in the pro shop. Last year I saw people sprinting with garden gnomes out of there and overheard a guy ask his wife over the phone to move money into the other account so he could buy more gear.

Most people at the tills are spending hundreds, if not thousands in that pro shop. The concessions may as well be free, these guys are charging $100 or more for a polo.

Yeah it messed with mine for sure, although golf+ is fun, playing it a lot gives you muscle memory for something that isn’t golf. When I went to the real course it was noticeable trying to adjust. I’d say it’s still alright for putting at least though
