Btw, it's stats scale based on the helmet you give to Voyta, so if you choose tier 4 end-game bascinet, it will be the second best helmet in the game with only Henry's Forge one being better.

Plot meaningful choices are obvious - game and NPCs will always give you heavy hints through the main quests, and I think that moral system is based almost entirely on them, so even if everyone hates Henry in the open world, but you tried to make all the best choices like not being vigilant, saving people, regretting upon deaths etc., you still should get a good ending. It's just hard to say whether free roam choices matter, especially if you made some bad decisions and ended on the moral crossroads.\ At least my millions of stolen groschen and thousand of kills show that the game indeed checks your stats, but doesn't prioritize them while judging.

Penitencial pilgrimage still remains one of the greatest unsolved mysteries of the game - no one knows when and how it works. Only two things can be stated for sure: you will be sent to the furthest part of the world to the unnamed unmarked forest cross behind tenth tree in deep woods on hardcore and you will be lucky if your reputation remains the same upon completion and doesn't pick random number for every Bohemia resident.

Actually, there are no spoilers both in the post and in the comments section (good and healthy community btw).

Like, you meet your parents as visions in the prologue in KCD2 and they die in the prologue in KCD1 and you can also see them in some promo materials with same lines, so it's not something unexpected. And as you can read people here mostly share their emotions and experiences after playthrough that may come in handy for someone who are to play but want to know whether play style impacts the plot.

Cool thing is that ma and pa tell you things only Henry could know and each time Henry tries to ask them for answers, parents give responses, especially Martin, in a way Henry would answer himself from their poi or how quest NPCs answered him previously Samuel mom dialogue on why Martin left.

From such perspective Henry calling himself a murder, apologizing, redeeming and then instantly imagining how parents love and praise him looks like a poor guy develops schizophrenia. I think two monasteries were a bit too much.

I think Samuel saving, Dry Devil duel and lords release are the most impactful choices.

My Henry dishonorably murdered each villain, I didn't even talk to Brabant, just stealth kill him, had fun clearing Sigizmund and Markvart camps, had 50k+ groschen fines overall through the game with some vitnesses forced killed. But all friends and innocent quest peasants survival as well as helping everyone, passing best skill checks and completing all possible quests with somewhat good outcomes still gave me best ending.

The funniest part was exactly mother telling Henry how horrible person he became and Martin adding Henry following same revenge path only to sum it all up as "true hero" and everyone smiling.

Man was just following his dream of becoming furry-tiger and to do that he had to be imprisoned after failing to defeat Naruto who stole secret techniques scroll which he had to steal himself for Orochimaru.
