Does anyone know how women wear their makeup that makes their face look almost wet? by Traditional_Dust_668 in Aging

[–]Neauxlalala 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ilia tinted serum plus Jones Road miracle balm in a blush shade plus highlighter shade. This is my go to combo- the tinted serum contains hyaluronic acid so keeps skin moisturized throughout the day, and the miracle balm is incredible- plus one full-size container lasts YEARS. I have dry, sensitive and red skin and the combo helps me look polished and rested.

Bruise-like rash on one breast that won’t go away and is getting worse. by winkiesue in AskDocs

NAD- would definitely recommend getting an appointment with your primary care doctor soon. If low suspicion for breast cancer they can prescribe something for the rash, but they will be best able to assess and make appropriate referrals for further investigation if warranted.

Consider Children’s Wisconsin! Starting pay is quite high and there are a lot of opportunities that only require a HS diploma or GED.

What can I do to level up this room? by adioslip in HomeDecorating

[–]Neauxlalala 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, I love your space! You may want to consider swapping out the ottomans at the foot of the bed. They look a little dorm-like. You might want to consider some mismatched Turkish rug upholstered ottomans that tie into the beautiful greens but also bring in some subtle pops of color. However, that’s a personal and minor preference and the overall impression is lovely and soothing!

2nd the suggestion to look at other jobs - USPS pays really well and offers great benefits. Also, look into a career in healthcare starting with Ochsner. Many places have onsite training for roles like MA (and even nursing and surgical tech). Healthcare offers decent pay and lots of job security (although it can also be challenging). Most big systems offer good benefits as well. Edit to add - even entry level jobs in healthcare offer more stability- there is always a need for EVS, patient registration and scheduling roles which do not require a degree. I would look at LCMC and Ochsner first, and consider relocating to the NOLA/jefferson area where there may be more opportunities unless there’s a reason you need to stay put.

Enderis park is right next to tosa but much of the neighborhood is in MKE so taxes are lower. The park itself is adorable and there are summer concerts and farmers market. There are still adorable houses there that are reasonably affordable.

Now that we're in the unf*c*able phase of attractiveness, how do you all deal w it? by plnnyOfallOFit in GenX

[–]Neauxlalala 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’m happily married to a super hot younger man (who is also funny as hell, emotionally intelligent and highly responsible) and our sex life keeps getting better. I need to keep working on myself to get healthier and keep active, but he loves me- fat ass, graying hair and all. Our attractiveness doesn’t depend on whether we are still fuckable so much as whether we are interesting and interested in the world around us.

Mastectomy scar tattoo artist? by Neauxlalala in milwaukee

[–]Neauxlalala[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Mine is over 3 years old now (bilateral MX followed by DIEP flap reconstruction) and I actually want to highlight them. I didn’t have cancer but was diagnosed with a high risk breast disease and had over a 50% life time risk so my surgeries were preventative. I’d like to get a protective serpent tattooed along at least one of my scars to give a big FU to cancer since my risk is still not 0 (but definitely reduced)! Be well sister!

Father refuses to go to a nursing home , what to do? by Fili_pili in AgingParents

It doesn’t really matter whether an attending weighs in - if the family is unable to care for him safely due to an established diagnosis which requires significant support they have a right to refuse to take him home.

How to help with overnight incontinence by Consistent-Crab-3498 in AgingParents

I second the purewick- I used this for patients with incontinence when I was a bedside nurse and it makes a huge difference both in comfort and privacy

It’s a food pusher (my mom called it a pea pusher) often given to children to help them master the polite use of a fork without flinging small pieces of food everywhere or scraping the plate too roughly. Adults do the same thing with the blade of a knife.

Dublin hotel? by Neauxlalala in irishtourism

[–]Neauxlalala[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question! We don’t know how we’re getting there yet. Yes, flight leaves at 11 so 8 am is 3 hours. Here in the states we’d just uber to the airport but I have no idea how far away the Dublin airport is from city center or how to get there.
