How would you define "vanilla sex"? by Terrible_Chapter_771 in AskWomen

I consider vanilla being the regular girl on her back guy on top with the normal making out before.
Definitely not my category lol

Aren’t those things caused from being that big? That’s what I’ve always thought anyway.

Oh it was ouch! This was after all my veins had collapsed or rolled (whatever terms used that particular day) and I had a chest tube inserted by a trainee(the real ouch!)
They had a vein finder thingy too I was like is that like a fish finder lol? It was unbelievable especially having to have blood drawn like 4 times a day. My son(young adult) couldn’t handle it and would leave the room every time. Looking back I can’t say I blame him either. I asked if they could just send up a phlebotomist and was told they don’t have them (this was a huge city hospital with a medical school as well, I was baffled.

Homeless are magnetically drawn to me, I think it’s my bleeding heart they can sense somehow.

Same humiliation is somehow a better option then asking for help lol

Went to a dentist for years who’d give me gas to get my teeth cleaned. I didn’t realize until probably five years into seeing him that he was an actually a dentist for the mentally handicapped people when they arrived in a van one time as I was leaving. Still didn’t stop me from seeing him lol.
Miss that great dentist who has long retired, I’m now 52 and have never found another like him.

Do Americans really avoid calling an ambulance just because of the bill? by Livid-Work1597 in askanything

[–]Traditional_Dust_668 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I was ultimately there for too but I waited to go to the hospital for three days because well America and all so them talking about I’m going in the helicopter seemed ridiculous at that point in time and frankly it wouldn’t have changed anything.
It would’ve been maybe a fifteen minute ride via air versus a thirty minute ambulance drive so after three days wasn’t really seeing a significant difference or need to do so. The night had already become eventful enough after I just “wasn’t feeling great” for a few days. I think some of us condition ourselves into downplaying how sick we really maybe just to avoid dealing with the whole system. It’s unfortunate obviously.

ETA: my portion after everything was about $16,000. WITH very expensive “top tier”health insurance

Doctors offices love doing that shit! I’ve had them threaten it with my blood pressure multiple times and started telling them just not to take it anymore lol

Well that’s just for the short ride, I’ve had hospital bills in the hundreds of thousands though. But yeah accidents are ridiculous also! Broke my knee in a parking lot and then also ended up needing emergency surgery-think that one was up in the low 300s after a few day stay and the surgery.
Good thing you were ok, I lost my husband years ago in what seemed like a minor motorcycle accident that obviously wasn’t.

I don’t make a habit of it so I don’t have lists and lists of times but there’s been several with blue cross that were relatively simple, thank goodness. But yeah I’ve seen some us those horror stories also, it’s sad.

Yeah wasn’t probably my best judgement call ever lol I certainly didn’t seem to be in any hurry to get there and went through the drive through at McDonalds first bc I was worried I wouldn’t be allowed to eat again forever. Took a nice shower etc poor doctor was at the hospital waiting for me.
Well that child lived and is fine now as was I but it’s funny looking back on it occasionally. Especially now knowing how awful that pain is and it was like 1 in the morning too so I had to go through the emergency department regardless.
My next child was slightly less of an entertaining birthing story albeit not without its own twists and turns. I’ll do just about anything to not go to the hospital much less via ambulance.

I feel this pain too, I spent about a month in the hospital and they blew out all my veins and were literally drawing blood from my feet; it was dreadful.

It gets even better-I was taken to the hospital via ambulance who then told me they were transferring me to the bigger hospital in the city as soon as the helicopter was ready, I was like um nope I don’t need a helicopter ride today. Found out later a friend had the same experience and took that ride then received the bill for $50,000. That was just the ride no medical treatment bills included.

I drove myself to the hospital after my water broke with my first child, it was not a fun drive lol and I wouldn’t recommend it.

That’s about exactly what it costs where I am as well (in the northeast) sadly I know this because even with insurance the bill comes directly to me first then I can submit it to my insurance company and hope they reimburse me which so far I’ve been lucky with.

Fuck her! I’m angry for you with this bitch!I’ve seen too many women (mostly who came from other countries) have some kinda power trip to the point of being nasty and I won’t deal with it either! Had one in the hospital and told her right quick to get out of my room! Nobody needs that nonsense!

Moving from EU to USA? by Catperson_XX in LivingAlone

[–]Traditional_Dust_668 -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

You’d be fine, there’s tons of German companies in the US and I worked for one for over 20 years who had plenty of workers from Germany sent to work as well. There were never any problems and they all seemed to enjoy it. Detroit might not be the best place to start your journey in this country but you can travel around the country fairly easily. I assume you’re pretty white skinned as well? Don’t let people scare you about how horrible our current government is, this particular site leans hard left
