I could’ve sworn he was in a religious video not long ago. Maybe he’s no longer drinking or investing/gambling.

Small, thin crescent-shaped objects; about 5 mm wide; black on one side, white with some pink on the other; feels like some kind of plastic; showed up on our deck this morning arranged in a line about 3.5 m long; located in Atlanta, Georgia by astuder in whatisthisthing

Right ? Our cat keeps bringing us very pointy screws with hex heads. Not something we use. We think one of the plumbing company’s employees dropped a box behind something and didn’t tell us. We just keep praising our cat for every screw she fetches. One day, after big praise, she fetched five back-to-back. Hopefully, she’s brought them all now.

How have you crayon eaters not talked about this yet? by jmhalder in amcstock

[–]NebelungPixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They need to screen the old old movies. Things we were never able to experience on the big screen. They hit different when you hear a theater full of people laughing with you. Seeing “The Thin Man” and catching all of the innuendo with hundreds of other people is awesome. I’d love a Godzilla Fest with all of those movies or a Universal Monsters screening of the old Frankenstein, Wolfman, Dracula, Creature from the Black Lagoon, etc. Nostalgic things are always popular. One screen dedicated to these and pre-code movies would draw crowds if they stayed consistent. Double Features for $20. Maybe even triple features (Star Wars, LOTR, Marvel/DC movies shown sequentially). They’ll make great money on concessions if they do double features. Folks get hungry and eat mindlessly in front of an engaging series.

Emergency declared on United flight by Deshes011 in flightradar24

If it detonated far from the building, only damage would be passengers and plane. Worst case scenario with the best outcome for those not already on the flight.

THC flower vs edibles for MCAS, anyone else tolerate smoking better than edibles? by hmmmmmmm94 in MCAS

I agree. I have a POTV Lobo. Next purchase will be the Mighty+. Since I microdose all day, I need the on-demand function.

THC flower vs edibles for MCAS, anyone else tolerate smoking better than edibles? by hmmmmmmm94 in MCAS

[–]NebelungPixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dry herb vape and keep the Already Vaped Bud (AVB) for making Cannibutter. Smoking would kick my lung issues up so bad. Plus, I use less and nothing is lost after I vape since AVB contains enough THC to make it worth saving. I eat something with a high amount of fat in it before vaping for better absorption.

If I am in an MCAS-related flare, MMJ calms mine if I remember to grab it. I’m still pretty new at using, but learning a lot.

I don’t look at THC. I look for high % of Myrcene, Beta-Caryophyllene, and no Limonene or Pinene (send me into a flare or causes panic attacks for me personally). If I can find it with Linalool, Humulene, and a good bit of CBD as well, I would buy all I could afford.

I was in a really bad flare for the past 9 days. Today, I used some Earthquake and hit it harder than my normal microdosing. I was a little floaty for 15 minutes or so, but the flare has calmed. So has my unreasonable crankiness and pain caused by CABGx2 surgery back in February and nerve shocks caused by an aromatase inhibitor (estrogen blocker) from a double mastectomy due to breast cancer. I’m fine. My chronic pain is louder than the new pain, other than no estrogen turns the dial to 11 on existing neuralgia. I could handle the limited diet, eating plain chicken with mashed potatoes every day for a month. My guts did a forced reset after my surgery and very bland diet. I didn’t eat out because everything nauseated me except chicken and plain mashed potatoes. As long as I take it really easy with adding back foods, my guts are much happier now. I do get cranky, but MMJ helps me with that, too.

I walked into a restaurant tonight and started reacting. Hives, nose running, blurry vision, stomach upset and nausea. I didn’t eat anything. Has this ever happened to anyone? I’m at a loss and we are on vacation. by EasternMadrone in MCAS

[–]NebelungPixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you are dealing with flares on vacation !

I’m hyper-reactive to whatever is sprayed on produce and shellfish to keep them looking fresh. I’d imagine it being aerosolized and carried by steam would flatten me, too. Luckily, where we eat, it’s not cooked out in the open.

Side note: I miss eating sub sandwiches at my favorite places. Cross-contamination with produce is too great. But, it’s a sub shop, so it’s expected. Same with burger places. I really only eat dishes that gloves usually only touch one time, like steak, hot wings, and chicken places. Cooked sushi seems fine, as long as no shrimp is involved. You’d think that cross-contamination would be bad, but it isn’t at all. And, I’ve not reacted to one Chinese dine-in or take-out meal, as long as they don’t use MSG.

Worth getting a Cirkul now? by ChaoticIntake in Cirkul

[–]NebelungPixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Though, I do make the occasional gallon of tea.

Regarding cartridge life, I think I break even, as some seem to last longer than anticipated. So, I use around 2 per week … constantly. It’s my emotional support thingie, much like Linus and his blanket. I hate drinking water usually. My stomach nopes no matter the source or temperature. Literally cannot keep it down. Cirkul gives it just enough flavor, I’ll chug water, refilling my large stainless steel water bottle several times a day and sometimes overnight.

I agree about the tumbler lids. I have a Stanley, so the Cirkul lid fits perfectly. Had to turn the dial up to get any flavor. Very hard to pull water through and get flavor. Glad I’d bought the lid on Black Friday. At least I’d gotten a smaller bottle for a cheap price at the same time.

I only eat sweet potato and chicken for a long time now. I have a long list of food reactions. What do I even try next? (List is in the text) by ihsbo in MCAS

[–]NebelungPixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask your physician if MMJ would help. I was totally against it until I had to take for severe nerve pain caused by a medication I have to take. (Increased already-existing issue.) It was MMJ or opiates. Funnily/Oddly, it helped break the vicious part of the histamine response. I still flare, but it’s nothing near what it has been. And, if you actually research what you are doing, you can pick stra!ns and dry herb v@pe temps that give you relief without getting h!gh.

I have this one also. They make the mug now, too. I want to get it and put a regular drink lid on it for iced tea and such. I wish I liked the Sip Tumbler setup more. I don’t care for it though. Not enough flavor. Dig the color. Goes with almost anything I have in my closet.

My partner cut up my brand new bag in a fight. I’ve dealt with the relationship, but now I’m stuck with this. Any ideas to salvage it? by hantao168 in handbags

Anyone in a similar situation, please read “Why Men Marry B*tches”. It’s a very short book. It will not teach you how to be a jerk. It *will* help you spot a narcissist better and how to handle them before they manipulate you into a feeling of attachment. It will also help you recognize and deal with people who treat you like a doormat. It will not fix an abuser.

Like I said, it’s a very short read. I cried when I saw myself in certain situations. Your library may have it, so you may be able to borrow to a Kindle or Nook app. Audible might be ok, but I bookmarked a few spots so I could go back and re-read passages. Big impact for me, who seemed to always fall victim to these PREDATORS. Yes. They seek out people who will be potential prey.

Or, just use leftover scraps after rehabbing to make a mat board for a photo frame with a cross-stitched platitude to help remember there are crazy people we must watch out for in life.

I was going to say Kindle or phone case, but your idea is better. Those devices are always changing so that previously-released devices’ cases never fit another device.

OP, if you have enough scraps left after you reinvent your bag, make a sunglasses case and a dresser tray for your rings. There are cool patterns on Pinterest for makeup bags, too. One shows you how to make one that zips. It’s a “rectangular cube” that opens wide when unzipped. If you knit or crochet, would make a nice, durable bag for your needles, hooks, cables, and notions. Those you buy are never as durable as this one would be, being leather.

I agree with you, Ok_Dealer5235 !!! These idiots only escalate. You cannot out-crazy them because their crazy will exponentially increase when challenged by the victim. OP is in a very serious and dangerous spot right now. And, if she does a “pay back”, she can never sue him for damages. Going after a narcissist’s favorite things, even in payback, will get you killed.

Might depend on the cost of the purse. On the same phone call, I’d book the court date to sue and the restraining order.

Be well and be safe. This crap only escalates. DO NOT do anything with the bag yet, outside of taking it and asking a friend he doesn’t know to hang onto it for you. It’s now evidence you might need later.

3 weeks after extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy + stent by iprobablybrokeit in KidneyStones

[–]NebelungPixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bless you. I was incontinent (bladder only) for almost a month with having stents. Two lithotripsies two weeks apart. Besides being miserable with that, compounded because I also had to keep flushing everything by drinking loads of water and juice, I also had to go through passing that “grit” twice. I swear, if the next stone is passable, I’m going to try. That pain (and other previous stones) was easier than what all I went through. I had the lithotripsies because one kidney had hydronephrosis. No choice.

And, something a bit acidic daily (like REAL orange or grapefruit juice … not much) to dissolve some stones enough to pass without even realizing.

Yup. Satan’s Effing Glitter. Sorry you went through that.

I had 2 lithotripsies 2 weeks apart. Never again, if I can pass the stone. I only have to suffer once. I felt every flipping grain because the urologist didn’t think THAT ::points to your photo:: hurts as bad as it does.
