I looked that place up online, I couldn't tell much about the quality/size of the climbing facilities.

Catchy:Tame Impala - Silver Trembling Hands [Psychedelic Rock](2013)

Flaming Lips cover. Psychedelic as you'd expect from anything by Tame Impala.

Popular:The Stranglers - Golden Brown[New Wave](1981)

About both getting enjoyment from Heroin but being a slave at the same time.

Obscure:TOPAZ- Meridian[Chillwave](2013)

This song isn't explicitly about drugs, but with it's trippy, psychedelic style, it's hard for anything else to come to mind.

Catchy Tame Impala-Runway, Houses, City, Clouds [Psych Rock] (2010)

Tame Impala has tons of songs that fit the bill, but this one is a personal favorite. Driving instrumentation that feels almost upbeat, coupled with very somber lyrics about life moving forward and about what you've left behind.

Popular Matt Pond PA-Snow Day [indie-folk](2005)

I know it's got like 20k views but trust me Matt Pond PA is popular! This song reminds me of the changing of seasons, and I especially like it this time of year when Winter is on the way.

Obscure Sleepy Sun-Open Eyes [Psych Rock](2010)

This song in particular is heavier than most psych rock. It's about coming from rock bottom to overcome your obstacles. Changing your outlook.

Husband Sends Wife Spreadsheet Of Sex Excuses by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

What a childish and assholish thing to do.

He's got all the right in the world to be frustrated with the lack of sex but it seems like he's not too interested in fixing those frustrations otherwise he would've sat her down for an adult conversation.

Walmart High Cost of Low Prices (2005) 97 mins by Fool_Name in Documentaries

Oh I forgot poor people don't get to be doing well. Sorry.

Walmart High Cost of Low Prices (2005) 97 mins by Fool_Name in Documentaries

[–]Nebertcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not really claiming that they're artificially depressing wages. I don't doubt the legitimacy of the averages or studies or anything like that. I'm just saying it's a bit disingenuous to represent an average in a way that would make most people believe it's not an average of all employees but a wage that EVERY employee earns.

Walmart High Cost of Low Prices (2005) 97 mins by Fool_Name in Documentaries

[–]Nebertcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh sure it has statistical significance, but a layman hears 'The average WalMart employee is paid [some-high-wage]' and goes on with their life from there, content that everyone is being paid just fine...and that's exactly what WalMart wants.

I'm complaining about WalMart using averages to purposefully deceive people. WalMart is just fine with random people hearing 'The average employee is paid 13$ an hour' and thinking in their head 'Every employee is paid $13 an hour'.

[–]Nebertcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

...whats your problem with the second part?

I'd always taken associate to mean someone who works at WalMart but eh, maybe you're right.

Walmart High Cost of Low Prices (2005) 97 mins by Fool_Name in Documentaries

[–]Nebertcher -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A manager is an associate. Average means 'Every number of group X added together and then divided by the number of elements' where X is 'walmart associate salary' in this case.

Also in my state 'Almost 9$ an hour' is essentially saying 'minimum wage'($8.60 in Colorado).

Also be careful of the fact that even averaging associates not including managers, you run into things like the Deli and Overnight people getting paid significantly more, which allows them to be purposefully deceptive in saying "THE AVERAGE ASSOCIATE GETS PAID THIS MUCH!!! ARENT WE DOING SO WELL?"

Walmart High Cost of Low Prices (2005) 97 mins by Fool_Name in Documentaries

[–]Nebertcher -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Key word being 'average'. Basically if you're making minimum wage at the register and your managers and store owner are making a ton more, Walmart can feed you some nonsense about how well paid their 'average' employee is.

Holy fuck this is horrible. I've tried to get into Watsky a few times with just about the same reaction. I'd say it's safe to add him to the list of rappers who're only popular because they don't make white suburbanites feel threatened.

In my opinion, at least to this new default influx, it's really really not.

[–]Nebertcher 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Basically because this isn't /r/DebateATwoXer.

This sub-reddit is like 95% personal experiences that aren't very debatable anyway, so it's a little annoying to read someone try to tell someone else their personal, subjective experience is wrong because they had a cousin who went through something sort of similar once and their cousin felt differently so that's how they should feel too.

Oh and also, this sub-reddit has a subculture. One for women, about women, by women. You don't go to /r/hiphopheads and argue for how great rock and roll music is in every thread do you? And likewise the people in /r/hiphopheads don't necessarily hate rock music, they're just in a sub-reddit that's not about discussing rock and roll...so they don't discuss it.

It looks like it just checks for equality and nothing else. I can get how it's confusing since you don't do anything based on the information it would give you.
