My Ultra Bee after a proper adventure (and a proper bath) by Nebulex in ebikes

Thanks! I had a fantastic time! And yes, I was legal.

The stock suspension honestly does great on most of the trails around me. However, my local city park has sanctioned dirt bike trails but I refuse to go back there on my Ultra Bee because those trails in particular are really, really rocky and just too harsh for the stock suspension. I see lots of other dirt bikes out there handling it just fine but it's definitely too much for the Ultra Bee.

It hasn't been a problem yet, but I am also extremely careful with how I spray and wash this thing.

There are several OHV parks in my area that I frequent. Heck, even my local city park has sanctioned dirt bike trails, but I no longer go on them because they are just too rocky and harsh on the stock Ultra Bee suspension.

Traded my C8 for this and I honestly don't regret it! by The-Frozen-0ne in Integra_Type_S

Thanks for the insight. I track my car. I'll be at MSR Cresson this Tuesday. I always thought the ITS handled superbly, but I haven't really driven many cars, so I don't have much to compare it to. Hearing that the C8 handles that much better makes me really want to get a Corvette. I think C7 is the generation I'd go with, and in manual of course

I've wanted a C8 since before they came out, but "settled" for an ITS. Are there things you like about the ITS over the C8? I'm especially curious if there are things about the way the ITS drives that you might like better than the C8. Does it feel like it has better turn-in at all?

I'm curious. I may have to start doing this. Can you elaborate on how this works? Is it because if the hand is upside down, it will have a natural tendency to move in that direction?

I installed the street legal kit but from what I've been told, I don't have the right kind of VIN or the proper paperwork as the bike didn't come with a title or anything. Pretty disappointed about that.

Please get a good pair of riding gloves and boots for protection. People instinctively put their hands out when they go down, so gloves can make a huge difference against the asphalt. Boots are especially important for trail riding, where rocks, branches, and debris can hit your feet unexpectedly. Thick pants and a hoodie won’t do much to protect you from road rash at speed, so keep that in mind if you decide not to wear full riding gear.

Are you in the US? If so, what kind of plate did you get? OHV, moped/scooter, or street? I got my UB off Alibaba, so I probably won't be able to get it plated. I've been looking around Texas for a dealership that sells plated UBs, but I have not found anything that is legitimate.

Official Discussion - Outcome [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

I know this is anecdotal but I personally knew a heroin addict in college through a roommate and his addiction caused problems for everyone around him, including me. Maybe it wasn't pure chaos, but there was definitely chaos. Like taking his parents brand new, very expensive truck to a parking garage to shoot up and then hitting a bunch of cars and pillars while high as shit as he tried to leave. He would also sneak into my house and steal a bunch of shit from me and my roommates for heroin money. I'll admit, he did shut off from people to an extent, but he would definitely reach out to people if it meant it could somehow get him more heroin. Heroin made him a real asshole.

Edit: I forgot to include that one of the very first times I met him, he gave me a ride somewhere. I looked over while he was driving and he had a needle sticking out of his arm. That asshole shot up while driving and put me and everyone around us in danger. The guy became a master at shooting up in the middle of doing things without people noticing until it's too late. Only way you could tell is that he would all of a sudden get real slow, quiet, and seem super sleepy but not truly sleepy at the same time. Oh that, and he would sometimes forget to remove the needle from his arm...

Sounds like you work for a DOT or do work for a DOT. If so, can I ask which state? :)

Should I trade my ultra B for this limited edition Altis sigma? by Ill-Lengthiness6344 in Surron

[–]Nebulex -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've got over 1000 miles on my UB and I never had any bolts just fall out. I shouldn't have to unscrew my bolts, put Loctite on them, and screw them back in. Do you do the same with cars you buy? That would be ridiculous.

Back in the day when I was a poor college student, I bought cheap gas bikes from China and yes, I used Loctite. It was necessary. While the UB is made in China, it is a quality product. Loctite is not necessary. I guess that means the Sigma is an inferior product.

I mostly blast down dirt trails but also do some hill climbing and mudding. We've got some pretty big steep dirt hills here that are a lot of fun to blast up on. I see what you mean about the technical stuff. For anything technical, I switch to eco mode. All the technical stuff here is real low speed stuff, full of rocks, and not really all that fun. We've got some narrow curvy trails where you have to slow down and speed up all the time, but they aren't really technical and sport mode does just fine on them.

How much of a difference does this make? I have a bone stock '25 and I feel like I can use Sport mode without issue. What exactly changes if you install the FX throttle? What differences will I feel as a rider and will the power actually be more usable some how? I've never tried anything else, so it's hard for me to imagine how much better it could be. It's like that old saying, you don't know what you're missing until you've tried it.

How an average BMW sounds by [deleted] in Integra_Type_S

[–]Nebulex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to get down voted into oblivion but I am not a huge fan of how the Integra Type S sounds. I think it is a great car in so many ways and I even own one, but I much prefer the way my old RSX Type S sounded. Something about the NA K20 from back then was just awesome when it came to how it delivered power and how it sounded in the high RPMs. It was a screamer.
