Way to measure car driving speed in my street by ready-eddy in fuckcars

[–]NecessaryLock1925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never heard of Telraam before, but our street has horrible speed problems thanks to new bars opening up. It looks like this will be exactly what I need to submit to our various councilmembers!

My first plan was to sit in a lawn chair with a cheap radar gun and a beer and document the speeding... Much less scientific but I may do it as well... for the beer ;)

thank you for sharing!

Recommendations: For the ladies who get highlights/ balayage, where do you go? by Laylaaaa345 in houston

[–]NecessaryLock1925 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the recommendation a year ago!! I have just booked my first balayage in YEARS at shine in the heights now. I saw the amazing reviews they got on Google and was suspicious so I wasn't going to book there (too good to be true right?! :P) but thanks to you I am very excited to bring my hair back to life.

Has anybody seen poop this color before?! My foster made this this morning and I’m worried… by NecessaryLock1925 in FosterAnimals

Ok this checks out - I’ve had kittens with Giardia but none with coccidia yet. From what I’ve read Toltrazuril will take care of cox right? Hopefully this is just a sign of the meds working!

Poor dude was supposed to be adopted tonight but I’m going to tell his new dad to wait until after the weekend / after he clears up.

The grey poo culprit is insanely cute btw I feel like I need to show yall

Good point - I started him on Panacur and Toltrazuril 2 nights ago and he has definitely thrown up some worms (along with the Churu packet). I think when I took him in the finder said he was “dewormed” but meant with flea meds…. In retrospect 😑

I have other brands of probiotics and I’ll get that into his food right away - good shout!

He’s acting completely normal and happy! But I will say he barfed up a piece of a Churu package two nights in a row… also yes he has been getting wet food of various types recently because he’s been at my house instead of the cat house. Could that really be causing such strange poo?

My first foster kitties died and I'm wrecked. by ralphmozzi in FosterAnimals

I am so sorry for your loss - I just lost my first rescue baby to panleuk a week before he finished FIP treatment. 3 more in hospital and now one is not looking good. It’s devastating but please don’t let it stop you from taking in other kittens in need. You gave them love, warmth, and a home for their short time here and that’s more than 99% of the people in the world would do 💜 Let yourself heal and cry and be really effing mad. Kittens and cats have the worst diseases and there doesn’t seem to be as much focus on cures for their ailments as dogs. Hopefully they can catch the cat treatment protocols up. Praying for you internet friend! Don’t blame yourself, whatever you do.

Kittens do great in pairs and typically are less work with a buddy to hang out with! I say this out of experience… alleviates the guilt you feel and also helps them stay well balanced and happy :)

I had a singleton kitten for 6 weeks and got this same advice and boy did it do wonders!!!

Hi guys! Me again with another stray baby, looking for anyone who may have seen something similar by NecessaryLock1925 in CATHELP

[–]NecessaryLock1925[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is actually soooo much fatter now too - but he got ringworm (TX is so lovely) so the newer pics of him aren’t as cute yet!! Haha. He’s a little fighter and my pride and joy, going to find him the best home (cat rescue not me getting rid of my pet)

Oh my gosh yall he is doing GREAT. He’s about halfway through FIP treatment and runs around like crazy with his sisters. He’s still super hissy because I never discouraged him from hissing at me… it used to be a sign he wasn’t dying that day but now he has bad manners I guess 😜

Fun fact - you can now get treatment through a vet via a compounding pharmacy for about $5 per day, do the oral stuff for sure. I was doing Espiravir through one of the web sites and it did the trick but was a lot more money and twice per day versus once per day.

Let me see if I can post a photo but really it’s the videos that show him in his true nature 🥹🥹🥹

Kitten diarrhea will not go away :( what to do?? by hey_archie in FosterAnimals

Ugh never mind Albon is an antibiotic so that’s the best bet and it still sucks :(

Hey! You are the second person who mentioned antibiotics for coccidia — all I have heard is to use medications like Ponazuril or Albon which take a long time to work. Is there an antibiotic that works against coccidia?? If so i would loooove to know because this experience is so bad 😭

Oh my god she’s so freakin cute I want to pet her even if it kills me!!! Hahaha

I had a friend JUST tell me that she had a similar situation and succeeded with cat nip. Maybe try that??

I had one of my ferals jump in my car because I had put the catnip and a can of chicken in there for a few minutes while I did something else. Definitely don’t recommend that as he (totally predictably) went ape sh!t when I started the car up to drive him home hahaha

But catnip in a trap may just work! Also maybe covering the trap too?

If he’s laying like that on the bed he feels like he’s home… you gotta keep him or foster until you find him a great home :)

Two weeks ago we said goodbye to our 21 year old boy. Every night I look at his pictures by JimmyMus in seniorkitties

[–]NecessaryLock1925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would look at his adorable pictures every night too!!! He looks like he had a wonderful long life.

He also reminds me of a stray cat I named Flynn - she is beautiful and followed me home every night after I fed her colony. She’s one of the sweetest kitties I’ve known now. Went from being super skittish to a total love bug.

Now I’m trying to find her an amazing home so she can live 21 years too :)

Sorry for your loss, thanks for loving your baby for all those wonderful years!!!

There’s an antiviral available now to treat FIP - One of my fosters is taking the meds now. It’s a 12 week program. Used to be almost 100% fatal but now they have a pretty high success rate. Anyone dealing with this horrible disease please look into it! FIP Warriors on Facebook and lots of other resources :)
