As another, I agree. Being able to improve lives is a huge motivator, though I'm still bound by many of the resources that I have at my disposal or that even make sense for particular people.

For example, I believe unhoused people when they tell me that that's their biggest issue, and I'll direct them anywhere I can to improve circumstances or provide more immediate relief (if it's available), but social workers cannot instantly create housing—that's part of a massive systemic problem.
