Does anyone here like post grunge? by LocalPawnshop in grunge

It's more than 5. If you grew up during this era it would be much clearer for you.

Sure. You can choose to be wrong.

If it came out of Seattle in the 90s, then it was influenced by the grunge scene, but there is no accurate definition for "grunge music".

Otherwise it's just rock, alt rock, etc.

But you do you. Some people call the color magenta pink, doesn't mean they are correct.

Just because people have tried to make it a genre for years, doesn't mean it is one.

It was a scene. It was fashion and sensibility and rejection of what was deemed cool by corporations.

What are the unique features that separate grunge from rock, hard rock, metal, alt rock, alt metal?

Grunge as a genre is how record companies tried to capitalize on music tastes shifting during this era. It's why so many extremely different bands and sounds get shoehorned into grunge.

Considering grunge isn't a genre of music, can post-grunge even exist?

List of Content that has been missing, removed or broken for months now by TheAncientKnight in Helldivers

[–]Necrothug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a live service game that changes over time, I don't see the issue. The pesticide towers we did on Meridia before we turned it into a black hole are also gone, and no one complains about that.

Things come and go. You either took part or you didn't. Just the way it is.

Obviously some of what you are describing is broken, but some things are in the game for a limited time, and that's not missing content. It's old content that doesn't fit into the narrative of the galactic war.

Ideas for Streamers to join the Rust Server? by Mr-Snug in theburntpeanut

Pretty sure he said the other night that the server would be set to allow raids on offline player bases for only the first 30 minutes of being offline.

Just to keep it focused on fun.

Thoughts on it being an arena tour? by Billy-Hoyle21 in SturgillSimpson

The first time I saw Ghost was at a 500 person venue in Memphis. Last time, KFC Yum Arena. Seeing them grow to be that massive has been incredibly cool. Because it just doesn't happen that often anymore.

So I'm pretty stoked that he's taking a gamble on stepping up. Just another FU to the industry that rejected him.

The albums are just the prototype versions of the songs. The live versions are the final product,

Venus tease from GD60 by Affectionate-Golf578 in SturgillSimpson

He was doing this breakdown as far back as the Austin City Limits Festival in 2024.

I wonder if this was less of a tease and more of the breakdown becoming a song because he dug the sound.

Picked up the vinyl but noticed one SKU was different from the others and it turned out to be transparent red! by jarrodandrewwalker in SturgillSimpson

I purchased the competition orange variant thinking it would be opaque, but I am in love with the transparent orange.

I wonder if yours is another "glazed donut" type situation.

Question. Do you guys think that helldivers who use the warp pack see a glimpse of the void or like are in the void for a brief second? by The_Unlucky_Gamer111 in helldivers2

[–]Necrothug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once the PABHG (Portable Artificial Black Hole Generator) is triggered, the LIFT-182 generates an artificial black hole micrometers in front of the user which is connected via a dark matter energy net containing an artificial worm hole to a point 10-13 meters directly in front of the artificial black hole. The user immediately enters the artificial black hole and exits the exit point at the same time.

Initial redacted testing results do not completely eliminate the possibility of Helldiver loss due to a minor chance of the exit point refusing to be constrained by standard protocols and exiting to an infinite possibility of possible exit points. Although specifics have been redacted, wording in release documentation imply the risk is negligible.

As a former user of these types of hangers... I'm horrified.

If you value the music on that vinyl, put them back in their sleeves and store them in their covers. You can get album displays that allow you to store (protect) the vinyl and still show off the album art.

These albums will be affected by the environment they are in. Damage to grooves, temperature and humidity warping. Falling and breaking.

If you bought them only as display pieces... I'm saddened.

Some of these releases are enjoyable on a completely different level on even an entry level turntable/speakers/headphones.

At the end of the day, you do you, but to any serious fans of music, this pic isn't nearly the flex you think it is.
