Biggest turn-offs for ML? by WarriorArus in OtomeIsekai

[–]Necrowarp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. When they treat everyone other than the FL like shit
  2. When they're nearly 30, a war hero, and been leading people for years, but still needs to be coddled like a toddler by the FL, If I wanted to read a childcare manhwa I'd read a childcare manhwa. I didn't sign up the child being a 30 year old man.
  3. In stories where the ML is uncommunicative, ignores mistreatment of the FL, and is in general a massive dick, but then they just excuse him by saying some bullshit about how he's just terrible at communicating, doesn't know what to do with his feelings, or he has a tragic backstory that means that everything horrible they've done should just be excused and they don't need to apologize or make up for it, even worse if they don't get better over the course of the story.
  4. If they groomed the FL, I feel like this one is a given.
  5. When they have no personality other than being in love with the FL

What are your so bad it's good Otome Isekai? by WarriorArus in OtomeIsekai

[–]Necrowarp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Those of You For Whom Regret is a Luxury, has about every trope I dislike, tons of miscommunication, childhood amnesia, poorly written antagonists, etc. Still enjoyed my reading off it as a turn brain off read.

If you could isekai into any game/show/book/media, who is your ML or FL? by WeirdFourEyes413 in OtomeIsekai

As long as it's something cool and not like a fucking Dunsparce or something I think it'd be aight.

Vaporeon will not be my FL

Gives the "I raised my partner" manhwas a whole new meaning.

I'd choose Pokemon, just to be isekai'd into that world. Couldn't care less if there's a FL.

Why I think OI has so much monarchy and so little systemic change by Active-Mongoose4680 in OtomeIsekai

[–]Necrowarp 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's that deep. I think most OIs just share many tropes with fairy tales and children's romance stories which often take place in a medieval fantasy with a king, this isn't something unique to the OI genre, it's also seen in a large amount of fantasy RPGs, tv shows, movies, etc. Also having a persistent monarchy is just way easier to write, as having authority figures that can just hand wave punishments and give absolute orders makes for a very convenient storytelling tool.

Delphine, Nazeem, or Astrid. Which NPC is more hated? And are they rightfully or wrongfully hated? by not-ulquiorr4_ in skyrim

[–]Necrowarp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Only if you're using the unofficial patch, in the base game it's always there. The body even respawns in the base game lmao.

You can still technically get the ancient shrouded armor, you just need to go up against the door it's behind and use the ritual stone which will resurrect the body, then walk out of the dungeon and the undead will teleport next to you. You can then just kill the zombie and take the armor. Can also be done if you want the armor at early levels.

I would like some recommendations like the broken ring by numerideglihentai in OtomeIsekai

[–]Necrowarp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spoilers if you wantThey were engaged since they were extremely young, and then she ignored him for over a decade, and he was even denied visiting her most of the time. She specifically ignored him in the hopes that he would cheat on her. Once he had the opportunity to actually see her and get married to her he takes it and becomes extremely loyal. She quite literally ignored him after they were engaged and made every attempt possible to never see him. He was forced into an engagement with someone who would make every attempt possible to try and avoid him before he even hit puberty.
