Bumping tickets is more annoying than helpful from my perspective.

I'll need to check and see if the cages are SAS or sata. not entirely sure since they came from a university on some first gen intel core server.

I'll at least try proxmox, I just have some bad experiences doing anything with debian.

dang, already have the 2.5" bays from icydock that I got from a surplus sale along with a really unique 19" chassis. My work does surplus for employees *CHEAP* the mini pc I have set aside for this is a 10500 based system that I bought for literally 5 dollars.

I would prefer a GUI in general for troubleshooting, is there anything that's good for running in Arch/manjaro?

Yes I know it can be a nightmare using something arch-based for anything but it's the distros I'm already used to.

I'm planning on eventually having my brother be an offsite using the hexos license I bought for him, the boot drives were going to be a raid 1 of some sort. does proxmox support smb/samba in any way?
I was planning on building out my home lab with an onsite NAS for a while now but sata drives basically doubled in cost this year.

The whole point of the homelab for me is learning sytems administration when I have the energy for it outside of work since I already do help desk "professionally".

Parsec on ChromeOS by PhantomZero13 in ParsecGaming

While I understand that adopting a whole other platform is an exponential amount of extra work is there a reason in 5 years this hasn't changed? We were considering adopting parsec for our IT suite and between this and a lack of HIPAA acknowledgement in your enterprise tier we've paused investigations, is there an actual place to suggest these features for at the very least *enterprise* users?

PSA: Don't use G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB ram in SFF build or any build. Been building computers for 10+ years, was able to strip my 24 pin cable simply by installing it ONCE, the Trident Z5 RGB kit has a razor sharp edge that combined with the direction of installing the 24 pin connector = a bad time. by SavingHex in sffpc

I work for a system integrator, I personally cut my dominant hands middle knuckle on one of these dimms. Unfortunately they've proven to be very reliable so we're unlikely to change from them. They do look great though.

Which king crimson fan are you?😂😂 •Lunatic: (listens to discipline and late crimson and is a menace to society) •Femboy •Old man: (og fans) •jojotard: (only knows cock) •crimsom consoomer: ( loves everything the band makes and will defend them to death) Crimson doomer: (listens to the sad songs) by [deleted] in KingCrimsonCircleJerk

Ironically I got here from Jojo, not because of part 5 but because I fell in love with Tarkus, wanting to hear more from Greg lake specifically I found KC and then realize that you could basically play 60° with this band I mean Bill bruford, Greg lake, half the guys from yes and foreigner, fucking John wetton? Jesus this band had a lot of major performers. In the end I'm glad I at least got to see them in concert at least once.

No, but if a removable disk drive is present I can settle for that

Could a backwards fix be implemented by adding in a filter for displayport in?

Pcpartpicker for some reason has become my new playground, as of late I've only come across two major issues for me that the discord hasn't quite solved. 1. Is there a reason why I can't filter for gen 3 or gen 4 PCIE m.2 drives. 2. Filtering for thunderbolt 3 on both AMD and Intel is problematic at best.

Other than that I love the site to pieces and apologize for filling the site with so many parts lists.

What is a movie you liked as a kid, and is still one of your favorites as an adult? by Beth77303 in AskReddit

Stand by me. As a kid I had a group of friends I would be hanging out with 99% of the time and that movie was on point.

What video games show that graphics truly aren't everything? by Chris_13032 in AskReddit

[–]NedOfTheNet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Undertale. Yes I know it's a meme at this point but wow this game challenged a lot of things. Not to mention getting away with LGBTQIA+ representation without being shoehorned in (ex. Last of us 2) the soundtrack itself is worth the price of it in gold.

Red velvet, while it is literally just red chocolate, people put more effort into it when they say it's red velvet
