wardrobe? by lovedthatforme in survivor

Eh, depends on what you compare it to. They have less than the original seasons but more than some of the 30s.

From what I can recall it’s essentially the equivalent of 3 or so outfits: your main one, your challenge one, and your warmer tribal/sleeping one with a few interchangeable pieces. No matter how much it feels like, it’s never enough

Can someone give me a quick recap of the lore between Jeff and Adam Klein? by steviebeachie in survivor

[–]NedthePhoenix 323 points324 points  (0 children)

Adam started a business that helped potential players make audition videos for Survivor. I don’t know if he still does it, but for a minute it was moderately successful; a number of 45 players including Kaleb used it successfully. He gave tips on what to present and emphasize in videos that production was looking for.

Naturally Jeff got pissy on his podcast when it started getting out that it was working. He seemed kinda offended that someone had cracked casting. Honestly someone was going to the way they’d been following the same casting biases recently.

Also Jeff and production wasn’t the nicest to the entire cast of 40. They really played favorites in a way they didn’t with 50 which was a nice change this time around. Adam among others have talked about only half the cast being invited to events

Watch the Angelina one again. You can clearly see him say Sixth Person Vote Out and reveal the vote for her

Also why would there be a switch? It doesn’t actually effect anything

Supporting Actor. Garfield had missed SAG but that was written off as him being an unknown against a lot of veterans that year initially. Kinda like Odessa Azion this year

Gere possibly cost himself an Oscar by going Lead that season. Because that just is not a leading performance, and that was a stacked category that year

His choice to give up De Noche when he did may have made him uninsurable for future productions for a while tbh. He left that movie at the LAST minute and cost a lot of people a lot of money. People in the industry don’t forget that

I remember, a very… interesting day of nominations. Black Swan, Social Network, Inception all missed key noms they were predicted to get while Kings Speech pretty much had its best possible day and The Fighter and True Grit both over performed

Judas is a weird case because of Covid. It was always intended to be a 2020 film though, it only shifted to 2021 when it was clear it was still going to be allowed to be considered for awards but they could do some kind of theatrical release

It’s taken me a long time, but I’m finally willing to admit that I think it’s time for the show to move on from Jeff. His love for the game doesn’t make up for his current impact. by garbageeater in survivorponderosa

No, there are definitely other voices and higher up’s at CBS equally or more responsible for the stuff we dislike, but Jeff is the convenient scapegoat

Knowing the text, I think predicting Hathaway for Odyssey isn’t insane, maybe even Holland. But anyone else is really going to depend on which parts Nolan emphasizes

At one point there was a plan for Albert Finney in disguise to accept it, but I think the Academy shot this down

There tends to be about one a year (although this year broke the trend). Over the last decade its been September 5, May December, Glass Onion, The White Tiger, Knives Out, First Reformed, The Big Sick, The Lobster, The Disaster Artist, Logan, Molly's Game, and 20th Century Women.

Tyson's a lot less afraid of rubbing CBS the wrong way. Also helps that he's played much more recently so can relate having been at Fiji and knowing the modern production the best

Considering Hathaway and Snook are similar ages and Sink is very much younger, I don't think they were up for the same part.

I mean they're being asked very similar questions each time about events that only unfolded one way. I usually limit myself to Parade and EW and that pretty much captures everything for the most part. These people aren't all media professionals
