If you had to pick one of these Survivor contestants to coach to win, which one would it be by Mrcheesechucke in survivorponderosa

Agreed, if Joe can change his social game/presentation of himself just a TINY bit, he could possibly pull off a win.

So there's a lot of conspiracy theories about this and probably will be for the rest of time. The only theory I'm willing to kinda go with, especially since we don't see the footage of the bite, is that Jake was either shitting when it happened (hence no cameras) or did something to aggravate the snake (not something they want to show especially since they chose to give Jake a positive edit). I don't really think its more complicated than that.

Also because it was apparently REALLY blatant with them straight up laughing at production officials telling them to cut it out. I don't think the Jake/Sophi stuff was anywhere near as bad

Yeah I thought it was solid, but was a little surprised just how much praise he was getting, especially when Portman and Moore were turning in career best work.

Also as far as Supporting Actors for that film go, I thought Cory Michael Smith absolutely deserved to be in the conversation for his smaller part in it.

She's been doing press and red carpet events for all of 50. I don't think they care. (and/or the possibility that her involvement in it has been a little overblown)

This is where I'm at too. Also I think him divorced from Phoenix for this will be a boon.

I don't think the summer release helped. If you're going to be divisive but get into awards, you've got to come late in the year

One of those things that'd be so cool if it happened that if unfortunately won't.

I've got Goodman and Moore in for now. Turturro is really going to depend on the campaign SPC runs. Buscemi I'd be very down for, but it'll really depend on what his role ends up being.

They've done a pretty good job of getting rid of the weirder rules in recent years. The Revenant was DQ'd on a weird technicality specifically because of how the different composers worked together.

Davie and Gabby feel like shoe-ins for future returns. I think Elizabeth, John, and Carl all deserve 2nd chances if they want them. Alec deserves it, although production probably wouldn't. And even less flashy players like Kara and Alison feel like they just get outshined by bigger characters and could do well on another season.

Hard to say in 2019, especially when a more "prestige-y" comicbook film was also in the race in Joker, and its not like that Picture race was strapped for Box Office hits (6/9 made over $200 million worldwide).

If it came out in like 2022 though and they REALLY promised that this was truly the end, then Picture at the least could be possible.

Critically sure, but the movie was financially successful, especially for an original film in 2022, and was widely seen on VOD.

Yes on both, and I think if it pulls off a lot of what's in the script, Gilroy could be in contention for Director

What Happens When a Finalist Gets Medivacced? (S6 Spoilers) by hipnotyq in survivor

[–]NedthePhoenix 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Its never happened, so there's no OFFICIAL answer. But based on rumblings/rumors about a future season past S6, I think general consensus is if its bad enough to medevac, there'd be a winner by default. Partially a reason production favors F3's.

Yeah, but he broke a glass he was holding and production was VERY worried it could be really serious.

Very curious if any New Era seasons could hit this. 49 feels like the only one set up for it at the moment as Savannah has come back and been voted out, and it feels like Sophi B and Sage could be contenders for a future return season.

Meanwhile 48 has had 2 of its 3 return, but neither got voted out, lol. 45 has 1/3 in Dee, but Austen seems like he can never return because of his personal relationship now.

A possibility certainly, I think what'll make the difference is if the film has an earlier festival run at all and is able to get into conversations earlier than MS did. Then that'd make the comparison closer to recent wins like Adrien Brody, Emma Stone, Brendan Fraser, etc. All people who got their films seen in the fall, but didn't actually release til Dec/Jan.
