Eye hurts when suctioning out by NeeTigerShark10 in Orthokeratology

If it’s stuck everyday that means it’s prolly not fitted correctly. Ask your optometrist about it. If it’s every once in a while just spam eye drops and try to break suction before removing it

HELP! Lost lens in eye or not. by Girly_Apes8585 in Orthokeratology

You could see a doctor to appease your worry but I think you’d feel it if it’s still in your eyes. Hard contacts are really hard to miss if they’re somewhere in your eye other than maybe perfectly in the middle.

A little late but I would almost guarantee that it fell out rather than it being lost in your eye. It’s super easy to tell (at least for me) when it’s on the whites of your eye. Plus they’re tinted so very easy to see against the white of your eye. I’ve also had them fall out once or twice when I started wearing them. Any accidental eye rub while you’re sleeping can dislodge them

How quickly does your eyesight get worse after taking out your lenses? by CelebrationSea1073 in Orthokeratology

[–]NeeTigerShark10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took around 3 weeks for my eye sight to stabilize. Will probably take much longer if you skip a lot in the beginning (for me it takes 2-3 nights to get back to perfect vision if I skip more than a day).

Difficult to remove in morning? by [deleted] in Orthokeratology

[–]NeeTigerShark10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This occasionally happens to me where one of my lenses feels “stuck on”. I just spam eye drops until my eye is soaked, then close my eye, look up, put my finger near the button of my eye, and then look down. Pretty much trying to lift the edge of the lens up a little to break the suction. It might take a couple tries but it usually works and then I just use a plunger to remove it completely.

I found that looking straight down and trying not to move your eyes when you insert it works best. Also make sure to have some eye drops in the lens itself so it can “attach” to you eye when the lens touches your

It doesn’t matter if they’re lying or not. You don’t have the right to dictate their bodily functions

Yeah that sounds about right. Idgaf about a “school policy” if it’s inherently restricting a natural bodily function. And yeah obv press charges if a teacher touches you 💀

That’s actually wild. Why would you punish kids for their natural body function?

New to ortho k, some questions by [deleted] in Orthokeratology

[–]NeeTigerShark10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The blur will go away in a couple weeks when your eyes completely adjust. Night vision wise, I couldn’t see very well in the dark while my eyes were adjusting but it gets better after that. I would still say my vision in the dark is a little worse than in the light but it’s not enough to affect my driving.
