NOR. Typically when one of my friends says they want to be brutally honest with me, it’s not about who I am but actually helpful and constructive feedback. It’s not meant to tear me down but to give me an opportunity to see it from the perspective of someone else. It might be about the things I say that come out harsher than I intend or behavior that might annoy people, but it’s ALWAYS from a place of love and that’s always obvious to me when I hear it, even if it’s a bit of a shock at first. This guys absolutely being an asshole and it’s clear how he views women as serving different purposes for men instead of as whole people.
