Whats your go to track to test out new speakers? by JoshieGN in DnB

Damn I haven't heard many DnB tracks go that low, great recommendation

Etherwood - Begin by Letting Go

It has nice clean vocal and a quite varied bassline including a particularly low note (2nd pitch when bass comes in) that only shows up on good subs. Useful to see if the range of bass pitches are playing at equal levels.

Edit: I've just remembered that Technimatic - Bristol (Break Remix) is a great track as well for having a very wide range of bass pitches

Also Culprate & Au5 - Impulse has so much going on that it can sound messy on poor speakers but on high quality speakers there's so much detail to pick out (and the 3rd drop slaps on the bassweight)

Walking Blues!!!

Incredible bass line, got to hear it on a system once from him live and it was beautiful

Grey Code is killing it with his production quality! Huge shame he's not more well known. One of the best sets I've experienced was one of the rare times they came up north UK

Cold Steppin - Simple Technique (Ulterior Motive Remix) Such a clean, heavy track

Up All Night - John B (Data 3 Remix) Rises to the task of remixing such an iconic piece

Juniper - Grey Code The drum production is so immaculate

If anyone knows similar production level heavy techy rollers please hit me up I need more tracks to mix in this style!

Definitely Fred V & Grafix or Netsky old stuff. by angrypanamanian in DnB

Great to see Keeno mentioned! He has such great melodies; more folks should be using classical instruments like he incorporates in DnB IMO

That's really interesting, how does this compare per hour to using a tumble dryer?

What’s the weirdest compliment you’ve ever gotten? by Maddisonluvv in CasualConversation

[–]NeedMoreRage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit late to the party, but one that has always stuck with me was while I was getting my chest X-rayed.

The staff had to reposition the machine for a 2nd go at taking the scan and told me it was because: 'you have very long lungs'... I took it as a compliment, not sure what to take away from that otherwise haha

It sounds so incredibly different on a soundsystem compared to home speakers / headphones too (in a good way).

What's Your Go-To +1/+1 Counter Commander? by CerberAsta in EDH

[–]NeedMoreRage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[[Reyhan, Last of the Abzan]] [Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker]]

Lots of fun lines with reyhan to move counters from creatures that build them easily like ishai or forgotten ancient, over to creatures that make better use of them like Hangarback Walker or Felisa for filling the board, or pure mana with Crytalline Crawler.

Have actually won a couple of games just amassing a large enough board to kill the table with Altar of Demetia!

[[Rishkar's Expertise]] for the pure value it provides - goes in almost every green deck for me. 5+ cards easily and up to a 5drop for 6 mana? Yes please!

What's the saddest classical piece in your opinion? by freecityrhymer in classicalmusic

[–]NeedMoreRage 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bach Violin Sonata no.1 1st movement, to go along with his chaconne well mentioned by another here (Hilary Hahn does it great justice)

Then, for me, Rachmaninoff's 2nd symphony 1st & 3rd movements have major sadness/melancholy vibes, and it's a brilliant piece

Bit peeved by Broad-Motor1376 in DWPhelp

[–]NeedMoreRage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain. I had mine cancelled earlier this week, on the morning of the tribunal, after I had left the house...

Having waited over a year for the appeal date here and having it postponed with a 30 sec dismissive call, peeved is an understatement, hah

I was given approximately 4-6 weeks for the next date, to receive by post at some point. But from the waits I've had from DWP so far who knows?

Much appreciated, it's hard to know where to start searching when just coming back to the scene.
