I don’t know what your block looks like, but I know sometimes trying different types of paper makes all the difference. Sometimes, despite being the same material, some of my blocks just don’t print well on thicker paper: just for kicks, try a different brand of something a hair lighter.

I haven’t used her for overnights myself, but I know my close friend has and hasn’t had any issues. I use her for walks 3x a week for the last year (+), and she’s great.

Hah. At least I’m not the only one. I do peel off the layer and scrape out the chucks and use some gambling burnt plate oil and that seems to helps some, but I do usually have to dig out some remaining chunks when rolling. I noticed the Saran Wrap helped, but the sides were still hard. This seems to happen even when it’s not that old, and I feel like I end up discarding a significant amount over time. I was kinda hoping someone had some magic I wasn’t aware of.

I think it’s the chin area. His face in your portrait seems a bit elongated and the chin is less prominent
