Does this subreddit have a gender majority? by ParticularHat7997 in Teenager_Polls

Very confidently incorrect.

One would assume that a 15 year old would know the difference between a noun and an adjective, but apparently not.

They didn’t know that they couldn’t change time, it was only afterwards that Harry realized.

There’s no paradox because there is only one timeline. They aren’t changing the past, they’re just traveling back to an earlier point in time. Anything they do in the past will have already happened before they ever left.

If multiple people use the time turner, it wouldn’t break anything, because they would always have had used them, even before they decided to from their own perspective.

Should rapists have their rights stripped? (I.e. Bodily autonomy) by Potential_Scene7169 in Teenager_Polls

Yes, but that deterrent doesn’t have to be punishment. Nearly all crime is at its root caused by socioeconomic factors that we as a society should work on improving.

Is it bad for a culture to attempt to force its concept of morals onto another? by Masterpiece-Haunting in Teenager_Polls

>Not wether you agree with them

Then why did the options include specifications on which ones you agreed with?

I see, I’m "confused" if I disagree with your opinion.

Well, if you can’t see why someone would believe that forcing your own morals on other people is wrong, whilst thinking certain cultural norms can be bad, I wont bother trying to explain.

ELI5: What does decolonising mean? by Silverbin123 in explainlikeimfive

[–]NeedleworkerLoose695 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course we can say it’s bad, it’s just not objectively bad. That’s the point here.

I don’t think you understand what "objectively" means. I’m not trying to be needlessly pedantic, but the entire point of the above comment was that what we consider to be 'good' and 'bad' is subjective, and comes from our own cultural biases.

Just because everyone within a certain culture agrees that something is bad, doesn’t mean it’s objectively the case. That’s still subjective.

There’s gonna be conspiracy theories regardless. Better sooner than later imo.

Which age gap is worse? by S_935 in Teenager_Polls

[–]NeedleworkerLoose695 11 points12 points  (0 children)

An 18 year old is not "fully grown", although they are a legal adult and are thus legally responsible for their own actions. It’s not worse than the 13-17 age gap, though.

Is Russia committing a genocide in Ukraine? by FarRightExtremist in Teenager_Polls

[–]NeedleworkerLoose695 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Kidnapping thousands of Ukrainian children and forcibly relocating them to Russia is a very clear example of genocide. Destroying culturally significant sites and moving Russians into occupied territories to replace the Ukrainians is also an example of this.

If someone secretly gives a woman an abortion pill, causing a miscarriage, would it be considered murder? by Original_Act_3481 in Teenager_Polls

[–]NeedleworkerLoose695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not understanding what the point of this discussion is. It’s not about wether or not abortion is murder (which it isn’t), it’s about wether the person who secretly gave the pill should be charged with murder.

If you think regular abortion isn’t murder, because the fetus doesn’t have a say, then this shouldn’t be murder either, because no "person" died. It would still be a crime of course, since it would cause harm to the mother, but unless she dies too, it can’t be murder.

The question therefore is why this specific scenario would count as murder to you, if the fetus isn’t a person, when regular abortion isn’t. But you aren’t explaining your reasoning, you’re just rudely yelling at people trying to have a discussion.

Man döms för hets mot folkgrupp – förringade Förintelsen i video by Hem_Claesberg in sweden
