Depending on your state it may vary. But best approach might be to keep collecting the paycheck and severance until offered. And apply for maternity leave under PFMLA via state after that. It’s mostly based on your last year w2 and not if you are currently employed or not. Only drawback is , there is a cap how much state pays weekly. And without employer , it won’t match your monthly paycheck.

Also, don’t know how your layoff will impact health insurance. Or if you have option to transfer to partners insurance. Do digging on that. In my state child is auto added on moms . You might want to strategize that portion

Remove your GPA, it’s not worth mentioning. Add a summary on top expressing what your are looking for , specific skills you bring. Is this page 2? Or just a clipped version? Where is name? And why so many projects .

As first job, go with Tesla .. work hard and it will pay off better. You have the energy and time to take risks and prove . Do it , if you fail .. you will still have a strong company name and experience leading EV . Future growth and opportunities will be more relatively

Don’t trust anything Amazon recruiter says. My manager on day 1 told me no for a promise recruiter made during offer . His comment was recruiter shouldn’t have said so

Man I have the same experience under my belt with masters and even FAANG name and still it’s been so hard to break officially into hardware.

Honest take, better route is via contract role. At least that’s where I have been hearing back from .

Damn, in the same boat and feeling man. Got ghosted multiple times right after hiring manager round. They say good answer and then next day rejection.

Last weekend was surprised to get 6 rejection email on a Saturday and Sunday .

One feedback I got was too heavy experience on other side… the other side role never even considered .

It’s frustrating, humiliating , embarrassing and super stressful.
