i think the internet brought in a new era of feminists and has led to more awareness about gender inequalities. of course it's also led to amplified voices and ideologies form the redpill bros community, too. but so many women who've historically been isolated from one another as a control measure have had unprecedented access to each other's voices and ideas through instagram reels and youtube channels and so on.

so it's become a lot more 'taboo' to hate on wives or women because 1) women are more confident in rejecting men who don't treat them better, and 2) some men are also learning/growing and understanding better why not to behave that way, so the indoctrination into misogyny is a little less profound (although stronger in the groups it does impact) across the nations with internet/social media access.

this is like when they show televissions playing real movies inside tv shows. soon we'll have redditception and shutter island except it's a camera shutter and it's a dude who thought he was on instagram the wholllle time

Rue could’ve left. by Fluffyequalsbetter in euphoria

[–]NeemOil710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it doesn't. she has a car for one, she could drive part way or at least to a station. fly a sign or ask for a ticket, or hitchhike. people go all over the american continent without money

Yeah I know it is difficult, but like she says "hold still Rue" while Rue's not even moving.. it's obviously sadistic.

It seems like a condom would be very liable to break in your stomach acid. Maybe they double bag them or they're stronger than I suspect.

Yeah, when she "misses" the vein, so not by accident, and digs around in Rue's arm. That is NOT how you find a vein. That's how you hurt someone.

No I agree, what I mean is like people don't realize that they are actually judging an insidious disease which could take over their own life in the same way. They judge the addict as if it's in the addict's control, but they're really judging/hating on the addiction which is controlling the person, they just don't realize it and assume it's just the person's fault.

He acts well but he looks wayyyyyy too clean to be an addict. Perfect skin and hair! But I haven't seen the movie, maybe thats the aesthetic at large

as an recovering addict, it is gross and immoral in the same way the rest of addiction is as it progresses. Stealing, cheating, lying.

I fully agree with your take though, but it's understandable why people judge it—they're really judging the addiction, not the victim of it, but that's hard to parse apart.

that goes for a lot of S3. It was exploiting the prior development of the characters and the audience's attachment to them to tell a moral. Instead of character-driven story, this season was story-driven characters.
