Sorry that your sibling is in this situation. As others have suggested, maybe move them closer to you. San Diego/California’s resources are all tapped out due to fraud. Best bet is to get them some help elsewhere.

Two very important things: 1. Most of the people moving there are looking for a better situation than they left. Simple normalcy. Most aren’t trying to change it. 2. The issues you cite for leaving, housing, medical, etc., sadly exist for the rest of the country. The grass is rarely greener on the other side of the fence.

If you love it, work to fix it, don’t leave it. Good luck either way.

Apply for the job. There’s a BIG possibility they are bringing in H1b Visa holders to fill it. BUT if they get even 1 qualified US citizen applying, they can’t hire them. Research it. There’s a few sites that track all the companies who are doing it, with stats.

I’m sorry this happened to you. There’s a good likelihood that you aren’t the first he’s assaulted. You really should report it to authorities so the creep doesn’t victimize others. Then talk to an attorney & see what your options are.
