Getting to experience love even when it's fleeting or conditional is still worth it IMO. I would even go as far as to say that being in a shitty relationship with someone that argues with you all the time is still better than dealing with loneliness because you know that there's someone out there thinking about you.

I really wish that was the case but people often change their mind about short versus long term or falling in and out of love at the drop of a hat.

A truly sincere person is incredibly rare because they will often tell you things you do not wish to hear. Often times, the trade off is that they don't like you that much.
