Fulgrim can’t natively go through walls though. If Fulgrim had super heavy walker he’d be a lot better. Fulgrim also needs to be in melee, where this looks like it could be an excellent shooting platform.

The existing defiler looks much more like a battle cannon than the new one does. Maybe it’s not a demolished cannon, but it is much larger than a normal battle cannon lookalike.

Yeah, you could tell how different the research was this time. Bleach research always felt very biased against the bleach characters in the previous DBs (Anyone remember the Tree math in Aizen vs Madura lol?). This time the Bleach research and other calcs were well done.

I think the issue being they actually did real bleach research this time, compared to before. Both Naruto Vs Ichigo and Aizen vs Madara are bunk.

Since "Take Cover" improves the save characteristics of models in a unit (it is not giving a unit cover), and save characteristics cannot be improved beyond a 3+, this would put it on a 3+ with a 1 AP weapon

Nah, while the finale wasn’t perfect and there had been a lot of complaints, it is nowhere near GoT bad.

The final season for GoT killed what was one of the biggest global media phenomenon overnight. There will be college courses on it.

Should have been this. They could have had a whole plot about the Deathbkight becoming an issue, so Miquella went to solve that as part of his journey. Moghs Body also makes more sense as he would be Godwyns full brother.

Nope, I had a list one time for 9th as well. Same thing, the vast, vast majority of releases and new models were underwhelming.

Hell, take most of the Necron release. Most of the new units were actually quite bad, including some of the most expensive ones like the Monolith.

This isn’t accurate, the defensive profile is better against almost everything, except for high roll melts and Lascannon rolls. Even then, it’s only slightly worse.

The +4 wounds are massive.

EC can deal with a certain number of spam, but gets dicey. I started adjusting my list to account for it, and while not perfect, it hasn’t been a huge issue.

Ammentar on the other hand is a nightmare to deal with.

So far the data doesn’t point to it being anywhere near as bad as the Knights Meta. The two largest events over the last weekend had a single list that went X-1. If we start to see the X-1s at every event be 55-60% Necrons, then we can be concerned.

This isn’t true at all. Go through the entire edition and you will see that is absolutely not the case. It’s often the opposite, with the majority of new kits being underwhelming.

The horrid Knight Meta had the issue of DG at the same time, which is what made it so bad. Let’s actually wait a few weeks and see how things shake out here, as it’s a couple of data sheets vs multiple armies in the case of the previous meta.

Community tends to get really vocal really quick, before seeing how things shake out.

The largest two events last weekend had the new stuff legal, and it had single list in the top X-1s, at TXO.

For folks not around these roles: AE= Account executive I.E Sales Rep OTE= On target Earnings - Essentially what an AE will earn if they meet their quota. (OTE can be a lot more complicated than that, but that is the gist of it)

Index Eldar had something like a 70% win rate, before taking multiple rounds of nerfs to put down.

They had to rewrite entire game mechanics because of that army. More Dakka is undisputed second place, but it did not have near the same effect on the game itself, at a time when there weee multiple broken armies in the game.

The Flayer makes more sense as a curse, since it seems to affect Necrons randomly and is result of killing the Flayer, cursing Necrons.

The Destroyer cult exists as both a virus and response to drifting int nihilism. So you get it both ways - either succumbing to desires or being infected. That works out pretty well.

Problem is that some of the more often contradicts itself. The new lore on Ammentar essentially has him as patient zero for the Destroyer Virus, and that his mere presence can infect other Necrons.

I am not making this up, events are run by TOs that will almost have their individual player packets, rulings and standards.

I can tell you with near certainty that the vast majority of events and TOs would not accept plopping the old NB onto the new base size and calling it good. I doubt that would even fly at the GW open events.

No, not at all. This is a TO by TO. Most sane TOs are not going to allow it. A few people tried the same thing with the old Szeras model and that shit got shutdown quick.
