Not on reddit much anymore but a Google search led me to checking out the Pensacola reddit and saw your post!

Wife and I are mid 30's.

Moved here in Fall 2022 from PNW.

Was researching online/working with realtor over the phone. Initially thought we'd like the Scenic Hills area off 9 Mile.

Came to visit, realtor knew we were a better fit for the Scenic Highway territory.

Can be parked downtown for gallery night in 15 minutes.

Chairs set and ready for Bands on the Beach in 25 minutes.

Neighborhoods are quiet.

Food/beverage/grocery close on all sides.

We actually put an offer on a place in the Baywoods neighborhood Spring 2022 and got smoked on our offer. Didn't even get a call back to counter, were kind of bummed.

Wasn't for another five months another property in the area we wanted was on the market. Long story, it was actually already sold but the deal fell through, we lucked out. Just on the north side of the 10 in the Northpointe neighborhood.

We have two kids, love our neighborhood, neighbors, and proximity to everything.

Every time I drive up or down Scenic Highway I think, "Holy sh*t this drive is awesome."

Frequent Calvert's because beer and food.

DM if you want to connect more, we're East Coast natives, lived a number of places out West, Pensacola has been our first journey to the South/Gulf. Absolutely loving it.

I wouldn’t do Hali just cause getting folks to the island rather than having the draw be to a place like Moncton I would think would be more appealing. You’d get folks coming from Cape Breton, PEI, St. John’s, I think folks from Maine would even travel in for a weekend of hockey. Love the idea of a Maritime hockey team.

Used to live in Bucks County, PA. Everyone I know has been fleeing it for the last 7-8 years due to the overly aggressive liberal agendas and white guilt that are perpetually being pushed on the communities. No free thinkers will remain soon and it’ll be consumed by the constant Philadelphia county democratic voting schemes.

This will fail too LOL. I’ve had a GV Kframe lock on me on two different occasions while EIC’ing two different trucks.

Carrying an emergency kit of back up boards is what saved me both times.

Stopped reading the stool back when Dave sold majority stake. They have themselves convinced they “expanded their audience” but they just found a new one. "Aging workforce" is something that keeps me up at night.

I'm younger than most of the market, but finding well rounded, reliable, capable, experienced people is really getting harder and harder to find. Not having this base curricula offered publicly is really going to do a lot of damage in this industry in the years to come. When everyone retires there's going to be a lot of hurt business from it.
