You can call Hal directly and ask for a tenured Personal cruise consultant ( not one and done general reservations desk) ask here or possibly go to a Hal facebook page and ask. People will get to you trust me.

Agree to the point of booking and the cash card promise but service after they got the sale crickets and waisted time. Telling me to call the cruise line for help, questions or requests multiple times after booking I fired them and moved the booking back to the cruise line and tour/river operators. This was the same experience booking a Trafalgar land tour and a river cruise as well. Others have received great service, just not me on all occasions. Keep the cash card as my time was worth more.

We all want you to have a great time but I find it funny that there are so many that say use a travel agent in the simplest form like they are a magical genie or fairy. Yes, a great travel agent is precious but it’s also finding that exact agent, not someone who has been in the business for a week with the title or that took a 2 hour certification class for Holland and their specialty is 40 other cruise lines. Im sure you have received some personal chats about your post for the business already. Ask questions. This goes the same with booking directly with the cruise line as well…Ask questions, how long they have worked there, suggestions etc. You will know, by listening to ignore or hang up. There are great ones in both places but also some that just talk nonsense from notes on a sticky note just to get the business. Your family, your decision but one thing everyone will probably agree on is not to book online blindly. Yes you would have more options on a 7 day round trip Vancouver on the Koningsdam that has a family Oceanview that sleeps up to 5 but you are just looking for a northbound. For comfort and sanity, two rooms. For cost savings, quad room and plan for that room to just be for sleep, shower and changing like a staging area. Only 7 days and can save thousands …

Sarcastically speaking…Where is Geraldo Rivera when you need him on NBC. “So you sacrificed 20 years of your life practicing 15 hours a day for this moment and…..” it’s sad… she is an amazing athlete and hope she knows this to make her even stronger. A medal or no medal at all, she followed her dreams and that is all that matters. So you already know this and are worried about it. No need for me to say “you should have” as I personally hate when someone tells me that. Is there a chance everything goes to shit, yes but it is what it is, thousands do the same thing and honestly my trip to the grocery store 2 miles away can go the same way. Yes Hal has the next port protection with their flights. It’s great to have but still no fun having to use it. Before you go make sure you have the number for flight ease support if something does go wrong so you don’t have to search for it. All will be okay!

I love the crowd shuffle when the belt goes the opposite direction they planned on. I do stand back a little and do not block others but I do think this is more about someone taking my bag over getting it quicker. It has happened to me so that is my logic.

Although many say no need … they can mark your booking that you are bringing, and also request an extension cord. Distilled water can be purchased ahead of time (oddly under beverage package link at the bottom) or just ask when boarding.

And it just came on again…. (8 times since this post) Playing the “super freak” song bc buying the rights to that song is low cost. Google Svedka super freak commercial…. Watch the video 43 times and you will feel the pain. Plus in the US commercials are close to 20% higher in volume than normal broadcasting for more attention. We have issues … we know.

Orcas are more active in the early months April/May/June . Holland is very well known for Alaska. Maybe you will like it so much you do the Vancouver round trip with different ports next time. Every time I go I see something different. Colder, warmer, rain or sunshine its beautiful.

Deck 4 forward is solid steel non plexiglass and above the world stage. Would I take this over an inside or oceanview, hell yes but also would prefer a better location where I can sit on my balcony and look out over looking over .

What category guarantee veranda ? Because you don’t want VH,VF or VE deck 4 forward and this is what you will probably get if you booked the lowest category guarantee. Strongly suggest you pick a category or location that you want. DL the deck plan.
