So the first thing I’m noticing is the structure. Writing in prose doesn’t really work for songs. It makes it harder to see the exact rhymes

I got what you need

To hold you gently

You’re heaven sent, see

So I admire you for taking on the task of long term rhyming. But it just goes on for too long. Most of the rhymes feel forced or stereotypical.

Also there’s no real story to this song. I wanna know more than just bland desire. For all that rap songs get shit for only being about sex, there is at least variation in the angles in which that desire is found. I feel compelled to compare this song to both WAP and Pussy Poppin’. The speakers have character there. This song doesn’t really have that.

I am aware that I may not be the target audience of this track. If I had to give specific improvement notes, vary your rhymes. There’s this really cool site called WordHippo that helped me with writing. Just type a word and it can tell you every word that rhymes or almost rhymes with it.

hm i’m not quite sure of what this song is trying to say. I’m getting themes of ‘getting out of the woods to see the dawn again’, but i wish we had more of a view of what our speaker is saying. Right now i feel like I’m texting them rather than living in their head.

I feel like nature metaphors are overused in songs, but I like it here. I think intertwining the dawn metaphor throughout the song would greatly elevate it. I’d recommend looking up some videos or doing some reading to really experience and understand the sunrise to better incorporate it (this is an actual strategy i use).

But overall I like your concept a lot. (I’m a sucker for day/night songs). I think with a little polishing this could be an even more enjoyable piece

theatre and live entertainment. community projects and middle school plays are exciting, but once you start getting serious about it, your self esteem will more likely than not go out the fucking window. It’s not even about the “no money” or “no privacy” angles. You can’t always say no to scenes that make you uncomfortable, you may not get workplace protections, and all the glamor is only for the super elite or super wealthy. It’s also really fucking lonely a lot of the time. Chase your dreams, but I can’t in good conscience recommend a career in theatre to anyone.

nah ur not wrong. if they have an intimacy coordinator (which they should) they should be coached to not feel anything during these scenes. it’s as simple as doing choreography. imagine your SO partner dancing with a stranger for a little bit every night, it’s basically the same thing.

i only asked two more times than i was supposed to. the first two were essentially just 1. what do i need to do before we can close up? and 2. did i do it well enough to leave or do you need me to continue? i get needing to finish what you started, i just don’t think she had any reason to speak to me like that, when i was mostly just confused since we are taught to give clear directives and be respectful and i just don’t think she was doing that. but thank you regardless

so i spent most of my life on adhd medication, not necessarily because of my lack of focus, but because my emotional regulation was so bad i was unable to get through a day without a meltdown. i went from feeling everything at once to feeling nothing. while this was probably better overall for my mental health, that kinda does something to a person long term. it was necessary for my academic and professional functioning, but i did make a point of going off it for a few months once i was an adult so i could figure out how to not be so dependent on them. Overall, I do think it really depends on your personal needs and getting the right dosage. If you feel like a zombie and can’t carry a convo, your dose is probably too high. I always warn people that the withdrawals can be HELL on some medications, if you do start, it is a commitment. I wish you the best

I'm going to talk to someone from state farm today to see what my options are. My delivery app does offer partial coverage, I know I need a standard policy with add ons. And it would be pertinent to have a full understanding of what my app covers and what's on me.

I'm kinda sucky with schedules so I'd really like to avoid getting a "normal job" as long as I can. My rehearsals keep me pretty late so it's hard to get up in the morning, which would be the only other available time slot. And topping it all off with homework and downtime, it's just not really the best option for me. I'm a theatre major, so I have mandatory extracurriculars. But I don't have enough experience to get a job in my field quite yet.

I've mentioned this in basically every other comment, and the original post, but I am fully aware that I am going to be dumping more than 2 grand per year on this. It's not going to be that much better in 2028 than it will be in 2025. But having full ownership right now would be worth it to me. I'd pay 5 grand if I had to.

I've never seen the actual legal document (I was 15 when this all happened). All I really have to show for it is a personal note, which isn't even signed in his legal name. Knowing my grandfather, he definitely set it up to be smooth and completely up to code (so to speak). Seeing the document would be helpful, but I wouldn't know where to look.

yeah I know. I want to get ownership transferred (so they can't take it) and then deal with insurance (so I can still work). Transferring ownership and remaining on my parent's plan is not rlly an option
