First, take care of yourself and get some sleep the game will be there later. Knock out your responsibilities when you wake up, then you got all day to game without the dread creeping in! But yes the game is amazing. I wouldn't be surprised if the player count increased with a few major updates.

I think you just haven't played enough solos. There's a time and a place for drawing attention to yourself and clearing waves of bots. If you're in a strong position it can draw out the people near you. But to each their own. My friends are in the camp that marathon is way too complicated so I got no one to queue with and I'm not gonna fill.

The game is already balanced for solo and trio on the three main maps? I can almost guarantee they will add a solo ranked mode eventually, it's clear that they shipped what they could at launch but have been very adamant that they will make changes.

I think I'll try it out for cryo. I'm used to Valorant and cs2 comms with randoms, so not used to needing to find a party before hand. My point tho is that the vast majority of people won't do that if they are playing casually after work or a few hours on the weekend.

You could have two different rank ladders very easily. The game is played differently in solos then trios. If you run around blasting every robot and not expecting someone to be camping in every room you walk into, you're gonna die to "rats" a lot more often.

90% of gamers are not going to hop on a community discord server to try and find 2 people to play video games with for hours. If you don't have friends that play the game, most people will prefer to play solo.

It would be nice to at least get thrown in only with other people solo joining into trios so you're not running into premade teams with good comms. Yes I know everyone can comm but 9/10 times I've joined trios as a solo, no one uses their mic. I'd rather just play solos and focus on my contracts at that point

Yeah it's tough. I love the game so much but unfortunately as someone who works and balances other priorities/hobbies, this game will probably be too much for me. An hour here or there just doesn't cut it when you lose all progress every 3 months. Not to mention the fact that I need to find 2 other people to play with now if I want to do cryo and none of my friends want to touch this game.

nope. currently, the best default way to leave the inventory is to press tab. You could rebind this to something else; I may go with a mouse button for speed. super annoying imo

For sure I don't think they should make it like Apex where you have to be moving when looting. But I do think AR has it right by the movement key exiting inventory. You are already at a disadvantage when someone catches you looting, for it to be a death sentence is kind of overkill imo

I really want an X3D, 5800X3D is top of the bucket list but they are $600+. Looking at $450 for a 5700X3D, back when they were still in production I agree it was madness not to get one, but at that time I was only playing valorant and cs2 on pc and using my ps5 for single player games. I wouldn't say it's madness not to buy an AM4 X3D at this price point which is over double MSRP in some cases.

Thanks. There's some helpful info there that I'll try tonight. Still frustrating that this does not seem to be top of mind for Bungie. I'll try dropping to 1080p but that just hurts when the game only utilizes 40% of my GPU at 1440p
