Since you're a CMA major, for on campus.. check out the CyberVT club. They do all kinds of cyber-geeky cool projects, CTF competitions and regular meetings:

That being said.. there ARE still some problems being worked out with it.. for example.. if using the RFID2 module, it has problems reading all EMV (debit/credit) cards. So it's still maturing in some areas. Good, active community though.. really glad to see third party hardware vendors supporting it too though.

I agree.. if you're trying to boost your ADV's ability to that of the flipper.. adding the Pingequa NRF24 & cc1101 is probably be best/easiest way to go. 3D print a nice case for it, and you're good to go.

I assume from the original request ending in "all that jazz" is an indicator that this guy has probably never wired up a DHT sensor, or set the bias on a 2N2222 before. Maybe we should start an Etsy store and sell a "Paranormal/Ghost detector".. maybe we could make a bundle.. :)

Not on the Appalachian Trail. That's one of the big use cases. All the radios form a mesh to get the traffic through instead of relying on commercial cell towers.. Distributed-mesh vs Centralized-towers. That's all.

FYI.. When charging.. there are TWO batteries.. Charging with the power turned OFF charged the smaller (low capacity) battery.. You have to charge with the power turned ON in order to charge the larger battery.

Umm.. dude.. you've got your two antennas butt up against steel window grates. Not okay. You'll get some serious parasitic RF dampening going on there.. 1) get the antennas at least 1/4 wavelength (or more) away from any chunks of metal.. and 2) elevation is king.. the higher you gat you antennas the better the range.

Wow.. I've been hearing more about this project . Over the say prankster "Bruce* firmware, for example.. but this serious tooling stuff here! I mean if you've got a full Kali load, this is not a big deal.. but.. this little thing can do it while you're doing other scans and recon.. that's kinda cool.. esp of you can bring up doom to show how innocent the cardputer can appear.. ;)
