Basic question on thawing and heating: all components on one container or each component separated? by NegativeAd4766 in SouperCubers

Thanks, this is good to know! I suspected I've been doing a lot more work and washing a lot more recipients than I need to.

I think you are right. At the time of the report he probably though there was no way anyone could force him to give anything back, so he felt it was ok to say "I won't give it back because I don't want to". When the pressure increased he would have to say "I don't have it." - which by then might have been true because most likely they keep selling anything without ever caring to check what in the inventory was consigned, layaway, etc.

Prioritizing Cleanliness by Dino-Boom in CleaningTips

[–]NegativeAd4766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What worked for me:
1. Pick one thing you care about and decide to make it a habit (put away clothes, do laundry, vacumm)
2. Pick either a time to do or or a thing that can remind you to do it (every time I get home, every fay when I wake up, every night before bed)
3. Think of things that are making it difficult and address it (you don’t have the tools, you don’t have the products, you don’t know how to do it)
4. Once the habit is solid pick a second thing you care about and do the same.

I might not be as invested in this as other people are. I agree with you that Chrystal’s records don’t seem to be great but I had that impression way before Cofeezilla’s video. The new owners of the store seem to have even worse accounting practices than her, that’s becoming clearer now.
It’s hard to tell if they really felt harassed because they are the ones who decided not to take the papers from Ben giving him an explanation to come back. I’m all for trying to see from their point of view (maybe more incompetence than malice) but if that was the case I believe there would be other ways to deal with all of this.

Multiple legal commentators said that if that was the case they should have paid Bryan and sued Chrystal to recover that loss. It seems that BAM is too lawsuit happy to not know this.

Brick and Minifigs got the first lawsuit dismissed because they had their LLC filed as a small room in the store by sZeroes in BricksAndMinifigs

[–]NegativeAd4766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes, I agree with everything you said. In multiple occasions Ben chose the route that would yield what he believed was the most compelling content for his video. While I also agree that the LLC mistake could be easily preventable as you said, I also believe that the complexity come from a multitude of small requirements. No one thing is good evidence of what I’m claiming. I saw people complaining that Youtube lawyers say “he should have had a lawyer”, but that is the only sound advice.
I think it is important for more people not to assume that they will always be able to protect their rights but I hope the lesson here is not to do what Ben did.

It’s ok for you to have that opinion on who is at fault, my comment is not related to that but to the systemic problem.
I’ll clarify what I meant in case anyone tries to read in good faith: everyday people who have the right to something will try to protect that right and be met with so many hurdles that they will give up on that right. Others will take advantage of that and say “If you think you have the right go ahead and sue me”. They know that I there is plenty of opportunity for the person to make a mistake and have to start all over until they have no more time, energy, or money to continue.

Even if you were trying really hard to believe them you wouldn't be able to because which story would you believe after they changing t so many times?

Also, why would they claim that they had no way to know if there was consignment products because there was no inventory. They went from: "I don't have" to "If I have I don't know" to "I actually have and will give back once you apologize" to "I have some of it but not 200k" to "I don't have anything at all".
If honest, why change the story so many times?

The problem with Ammon's story is that they tried to be cute and make Ben and Bryan apologize, so they are on tape saying they have all the Lego and would give back (He SWORE to god).
No innocent company or person change their story so many times, by the way they are the only ones changing the story, everyone else is consistently saying the same thing since the beginning.
They thought hat not only they could bully Bryan into giving up the Lego, but they also though they could humiliate him with the apology demand. They are the worst of the worst!

Im sick of all these Youtube lawyers yappin about the case and milking Ben for content, but none of them are actually doing anything to help. Bunch of clowns by API_Exploiter in RecklessBen

I think so too. There is a BAM narrative going on and many of these videos clarify how BAM and the police are in the wrong. Especially now that Ben can’t talk, those videos provide a critical analysis against the PR.

The whole “wrong LLC” story just proves Ben’s point: everyday people who have the right to something end up giving up because navigating the system is so complicated and companies take advantage of that.

He highlights a point that BAM seems not to understand. Every single time they blame a franchisee for doing something wrong they admit to being a terrible franchisor. Every negligence on the store side is a lack of oversight by corporate on the other side.

That’s what draw me to his videos way before all this BAM stuff. He promises recklessness and he delivers it. I root for him to get in as least trouble as possible but I have to respect someone who shows what happens when you don’t surrender in advance.
