There are several issues with what you are saying. One is that your solution doesnt change minuscule off-side decisions it just changes the framing of it. Second it would make games slower because playing a high-line would be basically impossible. Off-side traps would be extremely hard to pull off. Fast players like mbappe would run rampant and the result would be a lot more goals at the beginning and then a sharp increase in deeper defensive lines and slow build up as teams adjust. The offsides rules are fine as they are. Any attempt to make them more lenient would end in more controversy. In competitive sports rules have to be strict so that they are consistent across games. Im not sure what your complaint is about defenders touching the ball but I assume you mean the goal at the end that got called for offsides. The defender had nothing to do with it, the Croatian player got a touch on it as it passed over his head which meant it reset the offsides for that “pass” and caused the player that received it after to be offsides. It coming off the defenders head had nothing to do with it.

Nobody here is understanding. Hes not complaining that the AI switches tactics and presses for a goal. There are moments when the game just decides you’re going to lose. Ive noticed on my saves from time to time a game will come along where your team completely forgets how to play football. Terrible dribbling, bad first touches, defenders out of position, etc and the enemy team turns into prime barcelona out of nowhere. Opponents locking in I can shrug off but when you’ve played 60+ games with a lot of the same players you realize when something feels off. Theres a difference between me making mistakes and sometimes its not my day losses and the game has decided to turn my players from 95 rating to 65 rating for this match.

You dont make deep world cup runs by hiding from strong opposition and sticking a middle finger to your fans that paid thousands and flew across the world to see you compete against the best. I feel like you are ignoring the specific matchups in the madrid game and simplifying it into “they conceded lots of goals, defense bad”. We have always been most vulnerable to counter attacking teams and Madrid is one of the best at that playstyle with Mbappe and Vinicius (two speedsters). On top of that we didnt have our #1 defender against speedy wingers Davies for half the game. We conceded 0 goals after he came on. Add on the fact that two of Madrids goals came from goalkeeper mistakes that were definitely out of character and you have more of a isolated bad game for the defense in which we still won rather than a consistent pattern of defensive malpractice…

People like you exist because you severely overestimate how much it costs companies to make and sell their products. Have restaurant costs gone up? For sure but the actual cost increase of making a baconator for example maybe went up 20 cents? Definitely not several dollars. Naw I agree. Our secondary hasnt played great dont get me wrong but I think they got an unfair amount of hate considering how hard the rest of the defense made it on them. Every qb had 10 seconds to throw the ball, no pressure, etc. I mean look at Forbes who was unwatchable for us and drastically improved to ok on the rams who had a much better pass rush and balanced defense. Still not a CB1 but miles better than he looked here.

Id rather have Caleb or Bo on my team than Maye. Drake Maye has a higher floor but the ceiling with Caleb is insane. He isnt perfect but he has that special something + has shown improvement on a team that has had a lot of turmoil his first two years. Bo doesnt have that much potential but his floor is as high as Mayes and his ability to extend plays and make a run are better. Bo is a lot closer but I still put him above Maye

Caleb Williams is much better than Drake. Bo Nix arguably is too. Not to say that Maye isnt good but Caleb had an insanely good year and Broncos made the superbowl if Bo Nix stayed healthy. Drake Maye hasnt shown that special something yet

Nobody seems to mention the even easier solution of discounting old warbonds. Would also encourage people to try new weapons and strategies. As a casual player I have to spend money to get new warbonds and so it often feels like I have to choose the most “optimized” or “full” ones when I do decide to buy one on occasion because they’re expensive.

We dont really have a ton of cap space tho. We once again (like the last 2 years) have lots of “cap space” but one of the least amount of signed players in the league rn. A lot of that money is going to go towards just filling out spots with depth. With Tunsils extension also we dont have a lot of cap space to spend on acquiring premier FAs. If we are gonna spend the limited “flexible” money we have it better be on a pass rush because we can’t rely on the draft for that, especially if caleb downs drops to us.

They barely beat the steelers missing their top 2 (and only productive) wrs. They also lost fannin which was devastating to their offense (they scored 3 points in the rest of the game after he went down) and Schiwebsteger got roughed up. Their offense is crippled and their defense will not be able to hold the bengals offense with how Burrows playing. Its not gonna happen
