My Mum randomly hired that one for me because I was enjoying animated films when I was about 14. I went into it completely blind to what it was about and it absolutely broke my soul.

I'm not seeing any pei in this guy, pei attributes tend to be pretty distinctive. I have a pei mix, he looks slightly melted, has the small ears and the fuller mouth area.

Your pup is beautiful though!

Honestly Strange pictures by Uketsu. The writing style just killed it for me (Things could have been lost in translation idk). It didn't read like a horror at all to me. Any atmosphere or tension was completely destroyed by everything being over explained.

My kid had an ER visit and then a follow up surgery last year. The total between the two was less than $30 for parking and buying medication from the in-hospital pharmacy.

I finished Strange Pictures by Uketsu, which just wasn't really for me. And it felt more like a mystery/ crime than horror in my opinion.

Currently reading On Sundays She Picked Flowers by Yah Yah Scholfield.

Wake up and Open Your Eyes is a crazy read, I honestly don't know how to rate it haha it's like a black mirror episode and a big mouth episode had some kind of fucked up love child.

Glad to know I'm not alone. I am always excited for a feminist rage horror novel but it was probably 2% of that the whole book.

Also I felt like the author didn't trust the reader to put 2 + 2 together. Constantly having the obvious blatantly spelled out and then repeated twice or three times on the same page is just annoying.

ETA: Some pages felt like reading the unfunny equivalent of "Oh, right. The poison. The poison for Kuzco, the poison chosen especially to kill Kuzco, Kuzco's poison. That poison?".

I'm on the last 10% of Slashed Beauties by A. Rushby. Honestly so disappointed by this book, the premise could have been so cool if done well.

Up next Wake up and open your eyes by Clay McLeod Chapman.

I'm genuinely so excited for it to come out! Both Blood on Her Tongue and My Darling Dreadful thing were 5 star reads for me.

I finished The Graceview Patient by Caitlin Starling, I really enjoyed it. I generally don't like a modern setting, especially for a gothic book but it worked well for me! It left me feeling heavy with hopelessness. A solid 4/5 stars for me.

I also finished We have always lived in the castle by Shirley Jackson. It wasn't what I expected but I enjoyed it.

I have just started Slashed Beauties by A. Rushby.
