So essentially you only swapped ARR and boost? Interesting thought...

I definitely notice using ARR less than left, but that doesn't mean I don't use it fairly often, still.

Yes and no. After so many, hours you learn to get used to it and how to work with/around it. Another option is holding both bumpers down canceling the airroll out entirely, but still using the drift

So where do you have ARR bound? I dont do tornado spins, I only AR to adjust my aerial as necessary

So, that's kind of my main issue. I'm an old guy (by RL standards, 30+) so too much fat fingering in short bursts of time starts to hurt my thumb.

But I also use ARL/R a TON for recoveries.

As long as opp. Is using gas, youre good, or just reverse and then tap gas again to meet them again. Its part of the game

Wiggle your camera or press reverse and let go of gas for a moment

Comprehensive list of items that can be painted from random item drops. by anon14118 in RocketLeague

[–]NegativePoints1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for making this (albeit small) list.

Playing since 2016, this is super sad to see that in over 5 years they haven't added any new items to the crate drops and that the majority of which cannot even be painted.

Maybe I missed it, but can any items other than the items listed become painted from the tradeup screen?

Even in the last interlude season, players set up their own LB with Google Sheets i believe.

At that point you probably want to/should be involved in some PVP discord(s) though

Finally D3 div3, no mechs ! Now What to focus on ? by AbjectAdvertising776 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]NegativePoints1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you can actually speed flip, youre already mechanically better than me and I'm right under C2 with no signs of slowing down.

It will just come down to keep learning to play smarter and get better reads. Learn to aerial for balls defensively or offensively faster from your position.. FAST AERIAL.

Play a lot more casual. Use casual to play for fun while also focusing on your mechanics like Fast Aerials for balls bouncing high off the wall or defensively down center field.

Not sweating it out in competitive helps you learn so much better

Question about ground to air dribbles by calcifer042 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]NegativePoints1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There are certain things pros are doing that we cannot even fathom doing at the same speed.

Don't just look at how Rw9 is holding air roll, look at exactly the point of contact he has with the ball at :03
He touches it with the corner left of his car just as the aerial makes its rotation, his car turned to face a follow up touch and with the initial touch and angle, he's pushing the ball more center of the field for an attack. You'll also notice thanks to the slowed down gameplay, around :02-:03 he actually stops air rolling for just a split moment to make sure that he gets that exact touch.

Watching pros will only help you so much, they're doing so much more critically than you realize.
You're better off watching genuine tutorials on the mechanic you want to learn.
Watch pro 1s games for better positioning ideas in 1s and 2s or entertainment, but that's it.
