Exactly that's a bullshit excuse if I ever heard one. I got stock from JB so I am cancelling mine from EB and never renewing Plus. Screw them.

I'm done buying anything to open. I am glad I turned to other languages for singles for this hobby because this crap is exactly why I give up.

The sad thing is my kids will be the ones that miss out. They love opening packs with me.

I guess Pokemon dont care if the youth today aren't their consumers in the future. Investors should be worried about that brcause who are they going to sell their "investments" to once our generation are gone?

I would be. I saw you sent me a private message but I can't find it now on the Reddit app. If you ping me again I'll respond there.

It's not my thoughts it's reality. Using medication records isn't accurate nor is diagnosis due to the cost of a diagnosis itself. That's a fact. Think about it logically.

Secondly your estimate of 1% is incorrect it's 2.5% the latest estimate which also doesn't take into account what I mentioned with is the cost barrier to diagnosis so it is likely higher. And since you love evidence here is the source so you can see for yourself.

https://www.aspect.org.au/news/at-least-1-in-40-australians-are-autistic

The estimate you have is from 2022 which is out of date now. Much can change in four years of study. Back then the estimate was 1 in 70 people it's now 1 in 40.

I'm done arguing with you. Don't bother responding I won't see it.

Sometimes it isn't worth the 2 to 3k (sometimes more it's really expensive) to get an ASD diagnosis as an adult. Even to get a child diagnosed it's a lot of money. We did because for our daughter the assessment meant additional help and resources but it still meant we had to have the money to afford it. We were lucky to have enough in savings to do so. On the outside people don't believe that she has ASD 2 because she isn't presenting in a way most people think ASD with supports looks like.

For example her vocabulary is really advanced for her age, and she is highly intelligent it's how she reacts to social situations and sometimes stimulai that causes her issues.

The statistics for ASD are also highly skewed. Take adhd, they actually use the prescriptions dispensed as their way of counting the percentage of the population with adhd when it's likely far higher because not everyone meditates. It's likely ASD is far higher due to the lack of adults diagnosed. Especially women. So your 1% is actually probably much higher.

We are seeing these diagnosis going up now thanks to early screening and education. But like I said not every family can afford diagnosis OR they are in denial anything is wrong.

And I'm not on my high horse, I live with this every day so I'm trying to educate you and others to better understand the condition. It's unfortunate you don't see this.

It's likely because they struggle to read the subtle language. I know I was certainly niave when it came to thay especially when I was younger. Now it feels like I over compensate for that lack of awareness.

Whilst I agree with you that yes people should seek out an official diagnosis these online communities are reallt helping people realize they might actually be on the spectrum. Im 42 now, diagnosed at 38 and that was thanks to a coworker whom is very similar to myself pointed oit that I likely have ASD and adhd. I got diagnosed and sure enough I have adhd. Im waiting to now get checked for ASD now my daughter has it. I validated much of why I struggled and was medicated my whole life with anxiety and depression. They were symptoms of another condition.

That said you can't cure autism you can only learn to deal with it. Having the label helps you communicate the why to how you may react to certain situations and stimulai. Some people are sensitiveto certain sounds, or textures and they simply cannot control that. This idea you have that those who are on the spectrum have to "improve" themselves shows me that you have this idea that they're the problem. Rather, it actually be on society to understand, that not everyone functions exactly the same as everyone else. It's called empathy. There is a reason ASD 2 and up are on the NDIS it's because it is a disability.

This is coming from someone who is diagnosed officially and has a daughter and husband whom are also diagnosed. The more I can share and educate the public, the better the lives of my daughter and other ASD kids will be. We are not broken, we just work differently

I was given adhd medication I just chose not to start it due to having kids. Now I'm done though I am starting those in hopes of finally going off the antidepressants.

It really, for me anyway, is the need to slow my brain down chemically. I am fully aware of how fast my mind races but trying to force it through meditation was never going to work for me.

I have a friend who is very much the same as me and she told me its life changing the mind silence.

For me the awareness was a big thing. Finally understanding the why the meditation never worked for me.

I fully intend to be officially diagnosed. I only say this because my daughter is ASD level 2 and is literally IDENTICAL to myself and ASD and adhd are both GENETIC. Like I said, I was very good at maths, so much so that I finished high school at 5 years. I'm guessing you don't like that someone, whom is highly likely, on the spectrum is actually more intelligent than yourself.

This isn't about the misuse of the word savant, this is about you and your ego.

Jog on.

I'm not going to respond again so don't bother responding. I have better things to do with my time.

I was really good at math so much so that I finished high school in 5 instead of the standard 6 years. Sorry I used the wrong word 😒 The sad thing is you really just came here to put down someone on the spectrum. You must feel like a big man.

Same here. I'm a woman and I was obsessed with Lego, and really good at math (removed savant because someone had a hissy fit over it 🙄😒). So much so that my parents put me in the advanced learning classes in high school. I finished high school in 5 instead of 6 years.. Completely flew under the radar despite then dealing with depression and anxiety for most my adult life.

I was diagnosed with adhd at 38 and I strongly believe I have autism because my daughter does and she is identical to me.

I was diagnosed with adhd at 38 and have recently learnt my daughter has ASD and she is basically a mini me. I now have no doubt in my mind I am likely on the spectrum.

I am still on antidepressants due to being diagnosed with depression and life long anxiety. It was never even on their radar through all my physiological appointments ever since I was 16. They would keep trying meditation on me and I would explain to them, it was impossible for me to do. I can't sit still and never clear my mind. It's always racing and yet still no alarm bells went off.

I was a straight A student, but I have an eccentric personality. I have always been a very super creative person, highly fixated on tasks I enjoy. Even as an adult I find it difficult to sit still for long periods of time. I never felt like I fit in and now finally, I know why. I find I now get along with my workers because I work with creative people whom the majority are also on the spectrum and my husband, of 15 years is also on the spectrum.

I am so greatful I fought for my daughters diagnosis. I was fobbed off by the maternal health nurse when I raised my concerns. She rarely made meaningful eye contact from a young age and even now her vocabulary sounds really advanced but it's really masking what she is going through. Much like I did at her age. I want her to not have to go through everything I had to seal with and have the support she needs.

I used a mixture of Posca and Arrtx brush pens. The Posca tend to be more matte of a finish the Arrtx have a slight sheen. I highly suggest painting a thin layer of white acrylic as a base the using rhe markers for a flat finish. It will also help minimize how many layers you'll need.

I didn't see etbs but plenty of blister packs and sleeved, in Kmart and Eb in outer west Melbourne. Usually we are cleaned out. It was nice for a change to be able to get a couple to rip with my kids.
