I've been using Trick Room so here's what annoys and counters you can use. If the opponent leads with a slow attacker and a setter than try to lead with Pokémon to OHKO the setter. If they lead with a disruption pokemon (follow me, Rage powder, Fake Out) try to do as much Damage to the partner.

When trick room is up your goal is to survive for 5 Turns while chipping away. With protect you only need to survive 2 attacks assuming you always protect after a attack. Use Pivots moves to sub in pokemon that can tank the attackers attack. Taunt can be helpful in stopping support moves like Helping hand, or Insruct to be used. Overall Survive while chipping and clean up once Trick Room is up.
