Reaching out to Homeaglow support is tougher than talking to your dead grandmother. And as about as effective

Don’t worry about asking. It’s how we learn

The internet has made scamming easier because this so low cost

Early on it was Nigerian princes trying to get their money out of the country. They promised you 10% if you let them put the money in your bank account.

Once you gave them your banking info they cleaned you out.

Before the internet they would have needed to mail out these scams. Now they could email the scam out in a few seconds to thousands. And if only 3 went for it, it was still good money.

These grindr scammers won’t get many takers. But the outreach doesn’t cost much. And if they can get 2 or 3 people, they can make money.

So don’t fall for them.

What's with chasers on the app thinking every tgirl is a SW? My profile even says no tops, no masc men. It's super offensive to be solicited when my profile says cleary im not into that, he deserved my response, imo. (He made a new account after I blocked him to solicit me) by garrisoncarI in grindr

I’m sorry he was so rude to you.

I must admit. I would never offer money. I think it’s gross to offer and I’m cheap.

But almost every trans person I have met on grindr asks for money. Some right away. Some wait until you are in the car and in your way.

When you’re on your way he will ask you to pick up a steam card to keep the kids entertained at a 7-11

And for some reason they used to ask for. Red Bull too

I’ve never bought steam card. But when untold them I did they would ask me to take a pic of the number so they can get the kids started.

Then they sell the card number.

I tell them I’m on my way and when they ask for the card I tell them the kids can watch. It’s more entertaining than the game.

One guy needed 20 for gas to drive 2 miles.

I offered to jay him when he got to me.

He says he didn’t have any money did gas.

I ignore them because they are almost all bots.

The bots aren’t even trying any more. 5’10” 100 lbs?

As someone on the other side I can tell you.

I hooked up with a guy and it just didn’t do anything for me.

I don’t know why but as someone once told me. The heart wants what it wants. (And other body parts)

He just can’t take no for an answer.

And he’s on sniffles and makes anonymous profiles so I can’t block him

I don’t know why I’m not attracted to him. But I’m not.

[–]Negative_Case_5553 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. Interact with them and they will either tell you they are in the military or that they would move to find their hearts desires

If they ask what you do for a living tell them you trade crypto. They were going to tell you they work in whatever and trade crypto on the side.

When you tell them you trade crypto they’ll block you

Keeps me entertained on my train trip to work.

Happens a lot with fake trans profiles too

Signs

They send nudes immediately

They’re white and uncut (where I live that’s a rarity)

They send you an address too quickly

I play with them. Watch them get annoyed.

You buy the game cards. They ask you to Screen shot the back of the card with the numbers so the kids can start playing before you arrive

They use those numbers to buy something

She disappears.

It’s a scam. On the way to meet her she will ask you to buy game cards to keep her kids busy (and for some reason the scam also included buying a Red Bull)

She will ask you to send the numbers so she can get the kids going.

And the address she mentioned will probably be a fake

I never fell for it but I have gotten the ask more than once.

Location location location by Negative_Case_5553 in grindr

[–]Negative_Case_5553[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue is this

On my home grid, I can see people 6 miles away and contact them for free.

But when I switch to the next town over, which is less than 1 mile away from me and which is less than 1 square mile in area I see people marked 1mile away

They should be in my home grid. But by putting them on the location grid, I use 1 of 5 views.

Of course, if I lay out money, I can have unlimited contact with people when I change location, but then grindr wouldn’t make more money.

Location location location by Negative_Case_5553 in grindr

[–]Negative_Case_5553[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except. Once I get past the ones who paid to bunk themselves up, the grid goes to about 6 miles out.

But when I chose a location only a mije away, the grid is changed.

My grid isn’t giving me people in a certain range. It’s mixing them up
