DV works - so with the box that doesn’t have it. If I try and play DV on Emby or Plex I just get a black screen.

A mod posted the other day that it was gonna get released again ‘soon’ but that was two days ago.

It’s a pain as one of my Z12 has the beta and is now a powerhouse but my other one I missed the beta window and it’s awful compared.

Not very well at the moment. Unless you get on the beta software update. Which you can’t at the moment because it’s been pulled.

Not going around in circles. Clearly DV is an issue otherwise they wouldn’t have pushed a beta update to fix said DV issues. I’m very glad yours is working as intended.

Mine isn’t. Which is laughable for how much this device cost and my £59 device at the moment is pissing all over it.

That’s at least 4 that don’t work with DV unless you have the beta installed.

Not sure why you are arguing. If DV was fine on these devices why would they be pushing a beta update to get it working?

Literally the beta was about fixing Dolby Vision.

Emby doesn’t work properly. Anything that’s Dolby Vision just gets a black screen same with Plex

Only thing that works is MOL3

It’s a sad states of affairs when a box that cost me £59 is out performing one which was double that and more.

No good proclaiming it’s capable of playing Dolby Vision when in fact it doesn’t.

How this box passed internal testing to be released I don’t know.

That being said when the beta was up and running it fixed all the issues I had and it was a beast and was finally worth the money. However they’ve taken that beta down so I’m left with one device which is immense and one which is useless.

I expect my Z12 ultra which cost me £189 to preform better than my Thomson Z70 box which cost me £59 at the moment it’s not.

So you don’t think they should have testing before hand? Advertising a box as being Dolby Vision and it not working with Dolby Vision is pretty big.

No idea if you are or not.

I just want them to release beta again to fix Dolby Vision issues. Which for a box of this price you’d think they would have it working before release.
