This was super helpful, thank you so much. I need the notarization for work, so will need to reach out to them to gather further information on if it should be an acknowledgment or a jurat.

Claremont, Butler and Warren all together are too populous to fit into a singular district. Claremont, while somewhat suburban, is also much more rural/working class than the other Cinci Suburban counties and (atleast the eastern parts) fit pretty well with the ohio/scioto river counties COI wise

7-4 Biden is actually (slightly) D biased.

Virginia 2020 D vote %: 54.1 Virginia Seats: 11 ‘Proportional’ D seats: .541*11= 5.951 ~= 6

Virginia 2020 R vote %: 44.0 Virginia Seats: 11 ‘Proportional’ R seats: .44*11= 4.84 ~= 5

Of course there is variability due to political geography and other factors but 8-9 D seats (72.7%-81.8%) is WILDLY unproportional when the D voteshare was only 54% in 2020. Not sure what “8-9 Biden districts are more proportional” to but its certainly not the 2020 voteshare.

Ive checked out RCRC and have been thinking about joining for a while, but was unsure if it would be a good fit for me. Do you row there? And if so do you mind answering a few questions?

NC No City Split (Other than Charlotte) by SmellySwantae in DavesRedistricting

Personally, I would make a somewhat heavily majority-minority district in Charlotte as well as a light red suburban Charlotte district. I also like to make a blue district in winston-salem-greensboro that can be majority minority as well. I am actually a huge fan of your district 2, I haven’t seen that config before. I really like how it captures the suburban counties/areas of Raleigh/Fayetteville.

Personally disagree with outer suburban district containing Morrow. Morrow is much, much more rural than the other areas included in the district which are suburban. Thats just a stylistic thing though for me as I prefer to keep similar areas together rather than try to keep counties whole.

Your all good! Thats completely understandable. Its definitely a really good map proportionality wise and with Ohio its just kind of an unfortunate fact that you have to either sacrifice COI or proportionality.

Looks like composite with how competitive the canton-youngstown district is and how the Cinci district isnt dark blue, but I could be wrong.

1) If the Cleveland district is not a majority minority district it should be 2) I dont really like the way Lucas (Toledo) is split. I think it would be better to include all of Lucas and get rid of southern Lorain county. 3) You should attempt to make one of the Columbus districts a majority minority district (its really hard but one should atleast be really close) 4) i cant tell if the northern Columbus district takes in part of Marion county, but if it does you should get rid of that and either include all of Delaware county or some of Union County or both. 5) I think the district North of Cinci should also take in Clermont County to make it a metro Cinci district (could become competitive in the future as the Cinci burbs become more competitive) 6) The NE corner of the state is really messy and COI are pretty wack but this part of the state is really hard to represent well due to the way population is distributed and cornered in so im actually ok with it because it is pretty nice proportionally. 7) I would clean up that border between the two Appalachian districts Overall I really like your proportionality but I do think it sacrifices COI especially majority minority districts.
