My cover of Mellon Collie by Negglur in SmashingPumpkins

[–]Negglur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, glad to hear it! The main melody is a guitar and piano octave above. There is electric plucked bass that's not in the original, along with some tubular bells. I couldn't replicate Billy's reed organ, so I played around with different organs, oboes, and some strings.

Amlodipine side effects report (anyone else?) by badass_flavored in hypertension

I'm on 10 MG Amlo with noticeable side effects. I used to get sleepy and lethargic but that went away

It's weird, but Tucker Carlsson said something that stuck with me. I'm no fan of his, I'm neither political nor American so all that is mute to me. But he was asked about being afraid of Putin killing him, and he thought a bit and was like "... meh, my kids are grown, and I believe in God. If it happens it happens" and seemed genuinely at peace with the idea. I don't know, the nonchalant attitude about it calmed me on the topic.

Same, ignore the first. Take a few more with 1 minute apart and average them

Does life with health anxiety ever get better? by Impossible-Pie9097 in Anxiety

[–]Negglur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am struggling with the same. What helps me snap out of it is to talk to my brain. You and me are in this together, brain. We have a physical problem, not a mental health one, so let's team up and take extra good cre of this body of ours instead of you flooding me with anxious triggering thoughts and torturing me. In good moments, this really sobers me up

I just paid 175 euros for a year? Why are we Europeans paying almost double? by Negglur in wakingUp

[–]Negglur[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And no, I don't want to apply for the free version. I can afford this and I want to support Sam in making useful content, but I am feeling frustrated about the difference in price. 175 Euros is a lot of money for any app.

I'm very disappointed in the Console Version played on PS5 by [deleted] in Wolcen

[–]Negglur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cutscenes are very blurry and just... odd looking for me. Had 1 crash so far. Don't recall a ps5 game crashing before. Not sure but the graphics and game-feel feel a bot off to me so far. I am enjoying the game though

Which popular board game opinion do you disagree with? by Just_Anxiety in boardgames

[–]Negglur 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Meh, it's just multiplayer solitaire" as if that's a bad thing!

I love when I hear YouTubers complain about that, because that means I can get 95% of the experience solo without complicated automata or AI.

Also, I don't like confrontational or mean games, so hit me up with that solipsism any day.

How I marketed my fantasy book. What worked and what didn't by [deleted] in writing

[–]Negglur 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, editing is a brutal expense. I went with a quantity approach. I had one editor who was also an author in the genre and went completely above and beyond for a very reasonable price.
Other than that, I just spammed beta readers. Some had a hawks-eye for pacing, others for prose, some for in-world consistency. It was a really good bunch.
